On February 7th, Sanford Kramer installed a high-end gas furnace, humidifier, a/c unit, and thermostat in our house. After the installation, it took two weeks of lively debates with the manufacturer and Sanford Kramer’s service manager to figure out how to set up this complex equipment for efficient performance. Finally, today Juan C and his partner Carlos came over, rewired the system and explained what they did and why they did it. As a result of their competent input, the humidifier is now connected to the hot water pipe (not cold water pipe as before), it is controlled from the thermostat (instead of the initially installed mechanical dial in the basement); the previously exposed wires are hidden, and the gas furnace works on-line with the thermostat (rather than through manually set DIP switches). We are grateful to Juan C and Carlos for their project-saving input. If a reader of this feedback review is thinking of purchasing HVAC equipment from this company, we would recommend making Juan’s installation service integral to your purchase/installation contract. – The return on investment in high-end HVAC equipment can vary dramatically, based on the quality of installation and initial tune-up! – Alex and Mary

I feel scammed by this company. We had a leak in our A/C. We weren't that familiar with the system since it was the day after moving to a new house. The Sanford Kramer tech said it was an old system and he strongly recommended full replacement. He gave us little other useful information but kept recommending replacement and helped us schedule an appt later that day with a sales rep. He said that even though it was probably a leak, actually finding the leak would be around $300 and might not be successful so it wasn't worth doing a leak detection. Still, even though he didn't do the simple leak detection, he charged us $89 for looking at the system in addition to the $49 just for coming out. When I complained to the company, they said they'd reimburse the $89 and then did not. When I complained a second time, another manager on the phone said they'd reimburse me and they again did not follow through.
We had another company come out and do a leak detection and repair. They were extremely helpful in explaining the age of our system, found the leak in approximately 10 minutes without trying to sell us anything, and then gave us an estimate on the repair (which we did and the system works fine now).
I intend to post this on as many forums as possible and continue to anti-recommend Sanford Kramer to my friends, my coworkers, and my HOA until they reimburse the $89 fee for giving us misinformation and doing nothing. (I completely understand and respect the $49 fee for coming out to the house.) Also, responding to a complaint by saying you'll reimburse me to get me off the phone and then not following through is an even shadier business practice.
I think my entire system should have been replaced considering all the problems it has had--it's only 2 years old! The majority of the parts have had to be replaced. Extremely frustrating and upsetting. But Sanford Kramer came to the rescue--Russell, Diane, and Randy are THE BEST!!
My husband and I were very satisfied with Sanford Kramer Inc. We have no complaints and will call them again when needed!
The price set for the work was a bit high, but the overall service and experience was excellent, so it was worth it. Both the operator and plumber were friendly and direct. The fast response and clarity of scheduling was phenomenal!
I trust these guys – I use Sanford Kramer because I trust what I am told by their technicians. The gentleman who came out today was very courteous, knowledgable, and very helpful in explaining what I need to know about my heat and AC. I truly do appreciate all of his help!

Third time charmed by Rene – This is the third time we have had Rene visit our home for maintenance. We have always appreciated his knowledge and his personality. He will intorduce us to new products but never an uncomfortable push for us to purchase. We will use Sanford Kramer again and hope we will see Rene one more time.
