Don't Do It! – I took my clothes to this cleaners because my regular cleaners was not accepting clothing and I had an important business trip and needed my clothes cleaned. There were 7 pieces and they charged $36. When I came to pick up my clothes, I paid the charge. However, when I got outside I had a strange feeling and I counted the hangers and noticed that there were only 6 pieces. When I paid, I wasn't given a receipt but I did charge it so it was no big deal, it would be on my credit card statement. When I went back in, I let the owner know that there were a pair of pants missing from my cleaning. He acted like he didn't know. However, when he took my receipt and his receipt off of the receipt stand, I noticed that he had marked through my pair of pants on his receipt. I was furious. So I said, you knew that my pants weren't there. He told me he forgot to tell me, however, he conveniently forgot to not charge me for an item that wasn't there. He said he would call when he found the pants. I called a couple days later and he said he would call me back. That never happened. Getting closer to leaving for my trip, I stopped by. He stated that they could not find the pants, but if I had a receipt he would give me a credit for the pants. I was like, are you serious, you are going to give me a credit, so I can come back and you can lose more of my clothes, not likely. Needless to say, I am giving him a week to find my pants, and if he doesn't HE WILL refund me the cleaning fee and pay me the $65 for my pants. The only sad thing, I really like these pants and I got them at the end of the season so I won't be able to replace them.
If you decide to use this cleaners, count your clothes, and by all means pray that they don't lose your stuff.
Be careful: they’ll steal your money – I left a whole bunch of clothes for dry-cleaning and asked the owner wife (Korean lady) if I should pay immediately or later. She said it did not matter. Because I was not sure whether I would be able to come and pick up the clothes and may have had to ask a friend to do it, I decided to pay the ~$44 right there on the spot. Because I had quite a bit of cash on be at that time I paid in cash (rarely do, but it happened this one time) and got a yellow machine-written paper back that looked like a receipt. When I went back 3 days later to pick the clothes, the male owner was there. Not all clothes were ready at this time despite them having said so when I left the clothes. He also asked me to pay. I told him I already paid and showed him the yellow paper I had been given. The paper actually only said DUE AMOUNT $44, and the owner insisted on that I had not paid because his wife would have initialized this receipt if it had been paid. He also called his wife and handed the phone over to me and she also insisted, screaming, on that she and her husband (he was in the back of the store when I left the clothes there 3 days earlier) clearly remembered that I had not paid and that she would have initialized the receipt if I had paid. I am 101% sure that I paid for the reasons I explained above, but was at this circumstance not left with any choice (my fault not to have checked the yellow paper when I paid) than to pay them the $44 again. This is a dishonest business and I strongly believe that they do remember that I paid but because the situation was so perfect to steal the customers money they did it.
