Hey Nikki W, You claim that if Brian Love hadnt been operating illegally he wouldnt have been going eastbound on Main St., well you ignorant individual, if you were the at the crash site then you would have spoken to or overheard Don D, the other Tim's driver state that Brian had just dropped him off at home on Main St and was headed to his residence just off of Main. You also would have overheard Vince state he was there as a representative for his Father, and could possibly be one of the owners. As for the absence of Mr. Cuddy, the man was devistated and was advised by all not to come to the crash site. You would have known how deeply effected he was if you attended the memorial service were the man was not only emotional shaken but physically shaken about the whole thing. As for legality, check yourself and Deb Adams, people who live in glass house shouldnt throw stones. Dont speak ill of Brian Love again or your previous and any other reviews or statements will be sent directly to MY attorney on behalf of the memory of Brian Love a real cab driver, not a new generation wheel jockey.
They are slow service. Promise you 20 mins...takes over an hour. Don't use them at night. They haul around prostitutes and deal drugs (car number 5) in the Safeway parking lot near The Rainbow Cafe
All of these posts that downgrade Cuddy's Taxicab are more than likely from those associated with Tim's Taxicab, which is a Pierce County Taxicab company, and not allowed by law to pick up in the City Limits of Auburn. Cuddy's is an Auburn based taxicab service with the legal right to pick up in Auburn. Even with the recent tragic news about the long time taxicab driver, Brian Love that lost his life on the morning of July 5, 2013, if Tim's Taxicab had not been illegally operating in Auburn, Brian Love would still be alive, he would have been heading back from Pierce County, and going north on Auburn Way North, not driving on East Main Street in Auburn. There were a crowd of us down at the crash site early Friday morning, before they even removed Brian Love's body from his taxicab, newspaper reporters, television stations, radio stations were there, where Vince Cuddy was announcing that he was the owner of Tim's Taxi. Not true, his father is. Brian's longtime girlfriend, announced that her fiancee' had driven 13 hours that night to keep the streets of Auburn safe from drunk drivers, and many of those gathered there were personnel connected to the present Cuddy's taxicab operation, paying their respects to their long time friend. I was there. It is pretty sad when personnel from Tim's Taxi were there harassing the Cuddy drivers, and calling them a variety of names, when most of us that were there were simply trying to come to terms with the very tragic incident. Tim Cuddy, was mysteriously absent. Wouldn't you think the owner of the taxicab company would have been there?
And Clara, I do think we have met before. Weren't you the one trying to shove me in another taxicab while I waited for Cuddy's Taxi at the White River Amphitheater making the false claim that they ripped people off? As I understand it, when I called King County taxicab licensing, and verified the county status of Tim's Taxi this morning, they advised me that all taxicabs that legally operate in the City of Auburn (King County) must run the proper rate on their taxicabs, and Tim's Taxi is not allowed to operate in the City of Auburn (King County).
So for all of you that wish to ride in Tim's Taxicab, and are being picked up in Auburn by them. Just think, you are breaking the law with them.
Clara, the incident you are writing about below, did not happen. Both myself, and the other owner were "OFF SHIFT" and he had already driven his 12 hours for the day, and could no longer drive passengers, and we had gone to the concert after his shift ended. We explained that to everyone that tried to get in our taxicab. We both went to the concert, and were simply going home. There was no mention of money to anyone. And there were Cuddy's Taxicabs up and down there all evening picking up fares.
Not impressed when at a concert at White river, not a cab in sight. Except one, a Cuddy cab with both the owners in the car. And turning down not only my party's trip but numerous others...,not a big enough trip, my husband actually heard the driver say, a hundred dollar trip or no go. Wow if this is how the owners treat potential customers, how do their drivers? And this speaks volumes for the integrity of the company. Well the following morning when 2 out of our group of 8 needed to go to the airport we didn't call Cuddy's, we called Tim's taxi which actually got us back to our hotel out of the concert. then 4 of us needed to get to the Victoria Clipper, again we called Tim's Taxi. and the last 2 just needed to go home in Snoqualmie, guess who we called? And we will never suggest or even consider getting in a Cuddy Cab.
I have rode with Cuddy's a number of times at night and have yet to see a King County license displayed. The cabs were dirty on the inside, 1 smelled like cigarettes and another one smelled like it was used in a Cheech and Chong movie, one in particular looked as if it hadn't been washed in a year, I also noticed a sign on the dash stating that the king county issued license was for the city of Auburn only. I noticed this when I was getting picked up in ENUMCLAW. Therefore the ads you read for this service are false at best openly misleading and by King County law criminal in nature. I would recommend "ANY" other form of transportation if you wish to deal with a reputable company.
I've been using Cuddy's taxi for well over a year now and have to say out of all the other cab companies that serve South King County this one is by far the fastest and best on getting me to where I'm going on time and under quoted price. I have yet to experiance unperfesionalism from any driver and on the contrairy have had a wonderfull experiance. I recomend Cuddy's to anyone who needs prompt service anywhere in Auburn aria.
At about 5am this morning, I was at a Texaco getting a drink and fuel. As I entered the lobby of the store, a male walked out yelling "a f***ing N***er stole my phone". When this guy yelled it, he did it in a very agitated way and very, very loudly. I was highly offended but he did leave. From my initial thought I felt as if this person was under the influence of some sort of substance.
As I went outside to start pumping my fuel, this same person stepped out of the drivers side door of Cuddy cab #6 and yelled "F***ing S**t!". Again this was in a very agitated way and extremely loud so that everyone could hear him.
Now, I can not say for sure about whether or not he was under the influence but, from the other comments, I wonder. I do understand that he was upset about some individual stealing his phone though. I would be upset as well but, instead of yelling, cussing and throwing out racial slurs because of it, I would contact the police and report it.
This was very unprofessional at the minimum and hateful at the worst. I will never use Cuddy Taxi Service due to the actions of their employee and I personally would suggest all others stay away from them.
Cuddys', I see you are soo quick to defend yourselves from comments. There was an employee at the station and I am sure like all other locations, they record. You dont believe me, ask driver #6 where his phone is and then talk with the lady at Texaco (Auburn Way N./15th.)
lol, these reviews are funny. I am a current driver who works on saturday nights. This job sucks, not because of the company but because it doesnt pay, very long hours, and rude customers.
We as drivers dont bicker of fares, dispatch tells us where to go. Sometimes we have to drive all the way to enumclaw use our own gas money and pick up a fare that is going to go a few blocks. then drive all the way back into auburn. Using our own gas. Some customers should appreciate the hard workers, we deal with horrible drivers, drunk people, and we still pick you up with a cheerful smile on our face.
cuddys is the best company around. period. No one uses drugs thats a ridiculous lie, we get random drug tests. And most of us our family people like me with kids. using this as second job to help the amount of bills. We drive under the speed limit, we keep our cabs clean, we cut breaks on fares with regulars, we smile, we knock on your door, we give courtesy calls, and we do time calls which 98.9 percent of the time we are 15 minutes early...
all this for about 60-80 bucks on most nights working 12 hour shifts...
cuddys is also the cheapest around and we know auburn like the back of our hands...
i recomend cuddys not just as as driver but ive used them personally numerous times when my wife was pregnant and i wasnt at home to cart her around
Just Don't use Cuddy's Taxi – Cuddy's taxi is the worst taxi i've ever used especially compared to yellow cab or the others. This taxi never made on time. Even today, I called Cuddy's to picked me up at Auburn,WA at 4:00p.m and they just arrived at 5:55. The Dispatcher are very totally rude and unprofessional. I even called 4 times waiting for the taxi. They can't do anything, and only said wait 30 minutes, wait 30 minutes, wait 15 minutes yet never came.
I shouldve used another taxi besides from cuddy's
Just dont use this taxi if you have an important appointment. This taxi will never make it believe me.
