Probably one of the Worst experiences I have dealing with a company. The technician came out and told us that it was the heating element that was not working in our dryer. We were then told that the part would cost $160 not including the service charge for them to come out, and to fix it. When all was said and done it would cost us $290. I called around the next morning and found that we could order a heating element for $83.00. I called Dave's Appliance in the morning after calling around and getting prices on the part. I asked to either have a manger call me or the technician. Since they were supposed to be out later that day to fix the dryer. I wanted to speak with them regarding the part price since it was double what we could buy it for ourselves. I waited at my home all day for a call, or the technician to come fix the dryer. Finally I called back around 3pm only to be told by the receptionist that the part hadn't even been shipped and they wouldn't even be able to fix it that day. I told her that I was not going to have them repair it, that I would be happy to pay the service fee. She was very rude and unprofessional. She told me that we would also have to pay a restocking fee on the $160 part if we didn't have them fix it. (Mind you that the part was double the price, and had yet to be shipped) I told her that I was not paying that fee, that I had called in the morning and asked to be called so that I could speak with someone about it and no one called me back. Not to mention that I sat home all day waiting for A) a call or B) the repair to be done. Needless to say.... We got screwed! I will never ever use this company again! They have horrible customer service. The receptionist was rude, and should know more about the business, and customer service, before she handles any customers. In the end. We paid $290, we could have even bought a new dryer for that. Super Frustrated and feel that we were completely taken advantage of. I highly suggest not using this company, unless you want to deal with Horrible Customer Service and paying astronomical prices!
