“The Castle Rock Goddard is committed to our son and his individual needs. When he was scared of coming in the beginning, everything was done possible to make him comfortable. Each day, he comes home with stories to tell about the learning that has occurred. Every developmentally appropriate skill (like fine motor) is addressed each day in a fun and creative way. From walking a small balance beam to creating an art project with chalk- it's all there! The individualized daily report that goes home tells us exactly what's been done as well. We feel comfort in knowing that our son is getting the best care and education possible each day.”
I just wanted to write and say "thank you" to everyone for giving us such a warm welcome to your school.
From the second we stepped through the door everyone seems so happy to see us, even other teachers from different classes came to introduce themselves and say hi - and we've only been twice this week. All your staff and teachers seem to genuinely love the kids and are enthusiastic about starting their education off on the right foot.
This is such a difference from our prior preschool experience that I'm saddened we didn't make the move sooner.
From the email communications, newsletter, first day photos and the fabulous welcome card - we once again truly feel part of the Goddard Family.
Please pass on to everyone how impressed I am with their attitude and positivity and look forward to many years at your school!
Our daughter started in the Get Set classroom at Goddard in the fall of 2010. She quickly became comfortable with her teachers and other kids in the classroom. Our daughter is now in the Pre-K classroom. To this day, our daughter smiles big and says hi when she sees her Get Set teacher. In the Get Set class our daughter built on her knowledge of shapes, letters, numbers, and writing skills. Her physical development also improved with the play activities encouraged out on the playground. She soon moved to the Preschool classroom.
She developed a strong bond with her Preschool teachers and looked forward to seeing them each day. The Preschool teacher had a very nurturing spirit and gentle way about her (that teacher is still teaching in the Preschool classroom). Our daughter's knowledge of the alphabet, letters sounds, numbers/counting, writing, drawing, painting, and creativity skills in general took leaps while being in the Preschool classroom.
In the fall of 2012, our daughter moved into the Pre-K classroom. She moved along with a lot of her classmates from Preschool which greatly helped the transition to Pre-K. She learned a great deal (writing upper & lower case letters, counting to 200+, counting by tens and fives, pre-reading skills, art/creativity skills, social development (working through things with friends, expressing your thoughts in a kind way, etc)) while in the Pre-K classroom. We know that our daughter is more than ready for Kindergarten starting in August.
We have appreciated the accountability at the Goddard School. That has been a comfort to us. It is also comforting to know there are several people to talk to about any concerns in the classroom. We know our daughter is having a lot of fun with her classmates and teachers while still learning new things every day. The owners and front office staff have been so friendly and make us feel like we are part of a family at the school.
We will be sad to leave the Goddard School of Castle Rock come August but are so grateful for all they have done to help our daughter grow and get ready for Kindergarten and beyond.
Our 5 year old son is in Kindergarten at the Goddard School in Castle Rock and I can't say enough about this school! Not only is he well-taken care of in an unbelievably clean and healthy environment (extremely clean!), but he is super happy there as well! He loves his teachers and can't wait to go to school every day and actually gets upset when we pick him up after school as he doesn't want to leave (I'm not joking!). The flexible times we have to take him to school and pick him up are also wonderful (they are open 7-6) as there are days that we have greatly needed to be able to take him or pick him up outside of regular “school hours.”
Ms. Diana is a really good Kindergarten teacher and our son will be extremely prepared and most likely further ahead of the other children when he attends the private school our older children go to. His birthday is near the cut-off and our school encouraged us to keep him back a year. It was a big dilemma for us as to what to do and we luckily found the Goddard school to give us this year in order to evaluate and see where he will better fit in next year. He began in August (6 months ago) not knowing all of the alphabet or being able to read and he is now reading at a beginner level. He is far more advanced than our older children were! He is more than prepared to go to first grade rather than start Kindergarten again. The Castle Rock Goddard school Kindergarten class he is in is a small class where the children get along really well and they learn at a much faster pace due to the one-on-one time and the attention to detail they get in their small classroom.
Our son is truly thriving at the Castle Rock Goddard School. I can honestly say he is in the best environment he could be in and the teachers and staff are absolutely wonderful. These children are well-taken care of and they are safe and happy. I also want to point out that I am amazed at the life lessons our son learns as well. He comes home with all sorts of stories about the manners and the good-behavior lessons he learned in school that day. That is not very common where children are being taught not only a good education, but a good life-education as well as far as how to be courteous and kind and treat others with respect and care.
Finally, I want to point out that the owners are doing this the right way. They are extremely nice, receptive, caring, and they are running a school the right way. It is clean, friendly, safe, and a “family-oriented” atmosphere. I can’t speak highly enough of the Castle Rock Goddard School and I wish our son could continue with them further! We went into it not knowing where to place him due to where his birthday falls and we ended up finding the absolutely BEST possible place he could be in! Thank you Vince and Nancy and all of the staff at the Castle Rock Goddard School for taking care of our son and making him feel so loved, cherished, well-adjusted, and happy!
My daughter has been at The Goddard School of Castle Rock since she was 9 weeks old. She has been part of three classrooms and spent time with many of the wonderful teachers. I could not have chosen a better place to have my child while I am at work. The teachers and staff are Amazing!
The Best Preschool You Will Ever Come By! – There are not enough words to express our happiness with the decision with placing our daughter and son at the Goddard School in Castle Rock. My daughter started in preschool, now is in pre-k and has blossomed. She loves going to school and loves Ms. Chrissy and Ms. Leisha. My son we started in the infant room and quickly go over the fear and anxiety with the help of Ms. Samantha, Ms. Roxy, and Ms. Nicole. He now doesn't want to leave at the end of the day and runs into their arms when I drop him off. All of the teachers show great patience and love toward my children. We feel not only lucky to have our children in a safe and secure environment but a highly qualified learning institution. But most of all the Goddard School of Castle Rock makes us feel like we re important & part of their family. From the owner, Laura to the Director, Susan & Kelly they make us feel like we are special. It was the best decision I ever made!
Terrific School! – My Daughter has been in daycare the majority of her life since both her Father and I have extremely demanding careers. However, in an effort to make this time away from home pleasant for her and to give my Husband and me peace of mind…we thoroughly research the daycare institutions prior to enrolling her. Unfortunately, due to my Husband’s job, we’ve moved every year since her birth (therefore, we’ve known our fair share of daycare centers). Recently, we enrolled my Daughter in The Goddard School of Castle Rock. I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen my child happier in any other daycare center than at The Goddard School of Castle Rock. Not only is the Teaching staff superbly educated (most have a Bachelor degree and a few have their Masters in teaching) - but, they are amazing in helping children adjust! Ms. Kristin and Ms. Leesha have been able to completely understand my child. The change in my little girl has been nothing short of miraculous. Now, she is not only excited about going to school – but, she Loves her Teachers and new friends. The Owner, Mr. Morton, is amazingly kind and considerate and the Ladies in the Front office are just wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend The Goddard School of Castle Rock to anyone who truly values their child’s happiness, safety and wellbeing while attending a daycare center.
