I really liked this place, until I found out how shady they were! I was doing level 2 tanning. Mostly to up my vitamin D levels and clear my skin. After about 2 months of tanning, they started getting really pushy to try to have me up my membership to a level 3 bed. I just kept telling them no, that it wasn't important to me to get "darker", and that wasn't why I was going in. I started getting suspicious when they kept putting me in bed # 15 EVERY single time. I haven't gotten any tanner since the first two months I was going, and it really hasn't been helping my skin be clear either. Finally this morning, I decided to tell them I wanted to be in a different number of bed, but of course still a level 2 because that is what my membership pays for. They put me in bed #16 at my request. I burnt BAD!!! Their #15 bed must be the bed they put people in so that they don't have very good tanning success, so they can talk them into upgrading. VERY DISHONEST!!! Shame on you Expressions Tanning!!!
The owner of this company is very unprofessional, shady, rude, and needs to step up his professional accumen.
Do Not Recommend!!!! – I used to really like to tan here, and have done so for years. This spring when I returned, I found different people running it and the place has gone down hill. It is dirty, and the beds are being cleaned or NOT cleaned by some young weird kid! The salon is horribly kept and not clean. The girls there are not friendly and very PUSHY! The guy that runs the place is a complete jerk! I wanted to cancel my membership and he was so rude to me, I have never been treated so badly! Completely unprofessional! Many of my friends feel the same way. We will not ever go back. It is to bad!! It used to be a really nice place.
I do not recommend! – I also had my brand new passes deleted, or possibly never even added to my account and no refund given. The staff is pushy and unwilling to help. Don't spend your hard-earned money here!
Friendliest, cleanest, and Most High Tech – I would not believe all reviews you see online- I have used this tanning salon for the past year and would not imagine going any where else. I have tried several different salons before and have not seen one that was as friendly service, easy to work with, Clean, and high tech as Expressions Tanning. I have had a few issues come up with my passes not showing however they have addressed every concern and fixed every issue every time. I LOVE the variety of beds you can chose from and the Hydration station at a cheap cost to use. Try it and decide for yourself, but you will not be disappointed
Go elsewhere! – Horrible service, pushy staff, and dirty beds. They deleted my passes before they expired, and I never got the same story out of anyone that worked there. I even saw staff reuse dirty towels to "clean" beds - ew!! I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Bed Rash! – They have a clean look, but once I got my first tan, i got a skin rash! When it happened to me the next 2 times on different parts of my body, I was done! Ive been to plenty of salons in the past, but never felt so dirty. A friend of mine got pink eye from the goggles!
The owner was a Dick to his employees, he kept yelling at them about sales being low and I saw one start to cry. He was totally unprofessional.
Oh and guess what? No refunds for this guy...
Horrible customer service!!! – When I first started going to Expressions Tanning I was very pleased, they are very clean and have very nice top of the line beds.
I had bought 2 10 tan passes in the most expensive beds they offer, they never stated that when I bought them that they would expire. They dont ask for Id or anything when you go in so how do they know it is really you using your tans? I had gone in and they told me after I had only used a few tans that my husband and I had no more. I was angry then they some how later figured it out but it was still less than what I had figured. Then I went to use my tans one day and the girl told me I would need to buy more because mine had expired. I was there a couple days prior why did they not tell me at that point they were about to expire if that were the case?? After I had talked to the manager they said they would reinstate my tans so I went in the next day and they still told me I didn't have any and the girls acted and treated me like I was trying to scam them, when I think I was the one being scammed! Why should I have to constantly fight or wonder if I have a service that I DID pay for ?
Needless to say I payed them for a service and product I never received and they were nice when they were trying to sell me passes and after they had my $$$ they were horrible to deal with! I have had heard this same experience from a couple of people as well! I would never recommend them for your tanning needs!!!!
