Go get your tan on! – I have tanned at European Tan for about 2 years now... and due to my employment situation I need to cut back on some of the not so necessary luxuries. :{ The owner was kind enough to give me the next two months free to thank me for my continued business!

I left my Gucci watch with diamonds there once, and they called me, to inform me!! Crazy! Who does that?

I have tanned at every location they have, and have my favorites, but the girls all work at each location so I always know one of them. They never forget my name. Not from the first week I started going. They know what beds I like too! :)

When my business picks up again, I will renew my contract with European Tan again!

Happy tan girl!

COMPLETELY Dishonest Ownership – I tried to cancel my membership - IN WRITING, 30 days in advance, after having some very unpleasant experiences with the tanning salon (the versa spa ran out of spray during my tan, TWICE. Management refused to issue another tan to fix the HALF tan).

I canceled in writing prior to the deadline in August of 2009. A payment was again taken in September of 2009. I wrote ANOTHER letter canceling my membership. Dues were again withdrawn from my account. This continued throughout 2009 and into 2010. I finally disputed the charges with my credit card company in May of 2010.

European Tan submitted 'usage records' to my credit card company saying I'd visited the salon in January, April and MAY! I MOVED OUT OF THE CITY and hadn't used European Tan since SEPTEMBER of 2009!!! I can't even express how completely frustrated I am at this point. I feel completely helpless and wonder if I have any choice but to contact an attorney to actually cancel my membership!

I've called the salon several times and asked to speak to the owner or management in an effort to just find out what else they need from me! No one ever calls me back or can help me.

My membership was supposedly officially cancelled in May after all the dispute drama. I was charged AGAIN in June and just checked and saw my account was debited again in July of 2010. I disputed the charges with my credit card company again tonight! I can't seem to get rid of European Tan - regardless of my multiple letters of cancellation and them even being contacted by the dispute department!

I don't know what to do at this point other than contact an attorney and/or go through the hassle of canceling all of my automatic payments associated with that card and issuing a new card that they don't have the number for!

It has been a FULL YEAR that I have tried to cancel with them. I cannot fathom how they can justify such outright dishonesty. I have never dealt with such crooked people in my life. I played by the rules and followed their protocol - several times! There is no way to cancel your membership - DO NOT go to European Tan.

Try Treasure Island tanning - they have a GREAT high pressure bed at very reasonable rates.

I can't believe European Tan actually fabricated my usage history in order to not have to refund the debits of the past year. I moved for heavens sake. Unless I have a split personality that goes tanning without knowing it, then they are completely unethical and amoral business people. I would advise staying far far away from these folks. And so would my bank account that has been debited for an entire year after cancellation.

UGH!
