Giant mall literarily and economically in the middle of town showcases both mid-range and luxury stores.

Great location and good stores. – There is something for everyone here. From the ridiculously expensive to the more down-to-earth affordable places. The Macy's Men Store is seperated from the rest of Macy's...kind of cool if you want to get away from your girlfriend and pick something out for yourself for once! Uh, anyway...they have a really cool shoe store but I can't remember the name of it. The parking is easy and they have decent food there as well. Pretty good for a mall.

What every mall dreams of becoming when it grows up. – In Short
An eight-story behemoth that towers over La Cienega, the Beverly Center is truly L.A.'s one-stop-shopping destination. Macy's and Bloomingdale's anchor the nearly one million square feet of real estate, which includes trendy eateries, a Loews Cineplex, and the country's very first Hard Rock Cafe. The 160-plus retailers include exclusive Rodeo Drive-quality boutiques and standard mall staples such as Victoria's Secret. It's also walking distance from hip neighborhood shopping districts on Beverly Boulevard, Robertson Boulevard and Third Street.

south coast plaza vs. beverly center = beverly center by FAR – The Center has tons of parking, is spacious, and has not only unique stores but the larger department stores here always carry the most merchanise than most other locations-new items and sale items. Great place for people watching--sometimes a celeb or two. The only mall that I don't go to in my work-out clothes--dress to impress.

Also--they tend to have really cheap movies that have already been playing for awhile. I went on a Friday night and it was dead so we snuck into a couple of films and made a night of it. They sometimes play double features too.

Pretentious Mall – I dread going to the Beverly Center - it's my least favorite mall on the West Side. The parking garage is a mess - and the inside of the mall is depressing - a relic of the 1970's which they've attempted to update with modern furniture - all together it makes for a pretty tacky interior. Oh, and the people in the mall - think of your typical LA stereotype poser.

So huge... – This is THE place to shop. I was so impressed by the size of the mall, we don't have malls that huge in Paris. Retail people are very friendly, always up to help you. So many good stores are there.Pretty view from the roof.Over packed in the elevator.

BEST OF LA – The Bev Center is a great place to shop! No where else in the city has such a great selection of stores. Also, these are the flagship stores for a lot of their brands so they've got a better assortment than what they'll have at other malls.

Why go to an indoors mall? – Why not go a nicer mall with fresher air and less noise? The Century City Mall or The Grove are both much much nicer.

It all too often takes *forever* to get out of the parking in this place.

Why not stay home? – I don't understand why everybody in LA goes here every saturday. For one thing the stores are really expensive, and its just a MAll for crying out loud! A mall should be a local hang out for teenagers and people shopping for gifts. Don't get me wrong I love the mall, but this one is absurd. The parking knocks it further down you WILL spend half your time in the parking lot guaranteed. So unless you can somehow be flown in, just forget it.

It's Ok – It's an alright enough mall. Most malls in the Los Angeles area have the exact same stores, and this one is no different. Century City's Bloomingdales is much better, has a better selection.

This mall is annoying because it's not easy to get in or out of and the elevators get so crowded, but it has all the good stores you'd want to see at a mall.

I think Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade and Santa Monica Place Mall are much cooler.

Where the Stars Shop – Plenty of shopping choices and a remodeled food court....not to mention a movie theater on the top floor. The Christmas decorations and sales are worth the insane lines for parking. A place where you can get take out, catch a new movie, buy almost anything and bump into celebrities. Two thumbs up.
