Overpriced – I went here today and ordered a caesar salad with grilled chicken (for an extra $4). When I finally got it; the salad was just okay and the chicken seemed like it was one of those frozen chickens that they barely bothered to unthaw before slapping it on my salad. It was not worth what I had to pay for it.
So if you are in the mood for a caesar salad I would try Mimi's; theirs is worth the price.
Great Pizza -- Poor Service – My original review is below however I feel I need to revise it. I am changing from 5 stars to 1 because of such poor service on two separate visits.
December 26 my wife, son, and daughter-in- law went there, the place was very busy. We decided that we were willing to wait 30 minutes for a table. The woman taking reservation told us the wait for a table would be 30-35 minutes so we decided to wait. 45 minutes later we checked with her and were told we would get the next available table and it should be no more than 10 more minutes. I saw 2 groups get seated after this. At the 1 hour mark we left.
December 29 my wife and I went back on a much less busy night. We figured the other night was a fluke because of Christmas. When we went in we saw several empty tables but we were told there would be a 15 minute wait. When I asked about the empty tables we were told that they have tables for specific numbers of people, for example they have tables for 2 people, tables for 4 people and so on. It seems that even though there were some 4 and 6 people tables available, there were no 2 people tables available and we would have to wait. We left as I had no faith in their ability to estimate the wait time, nor do I see any reason to wait on a 2 person table when there are seats available.
I will not be going back.
My wife and I went for there for a late supper on Saturday night. There are a few seats at an outside counter which we preferred. We were intrigued by the “coal fired” brick oven so we decided to try the pizza. This was one of the best pies we have had in a while. The crust was thin and crispy, the sauce was very good but the crowning items were the pepperoni and the cheese. I read that the cheese came from free range cows, which I didn't think much about but I was surprised that I could taste the difference. The pepperoni was small in diameter but the slices were thick and they were generous with the amount on the pizza and it had, what I believe, to be a very good flavor. We took home leftovers and it was almost as good the second day. We will be back.
Just OK – Known for their pizza, they don't have much else to offer. Our pizza became cold very quickly and while it was a satisfactory meal, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
