NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE
the problem not fix and delayed completion of repair, the car still in parking lot since May 24th 2012 caused more damged to the car body and car.
in May 24th of 2012 my Honda accord had D4 (drive gear) light on. drove the car in for diagnosed transmissions problem and a written estimate. i ask the manager Rafael Herrera when can you get start and get done. He said if you drop off the car next Morning will get it done same day. So I drove my car in drop off May 25 at 8 am next Morning and they rode me home. By end of that day, I called in he said is done, ready to pickup.
then I pickup the car next Morning, i test the car, the problem still not fix, D4 light transmission still on. I told him, problem is not fix and come out look at it and he said "give us some time". 1 week later, i call in, they said we still fixing it and test drive, will call you. i wait a few days and call in again. they said is need a computer and is on ordered. I waited for a nother week, call in, they said computer will be in Today will install it and test drive and will call you, but they ever call me to let me know what going on. so waited for a few more days and call in again, they said we need to computer to dealer for reprograming the car won't start. waited for fews day more and i stop by to talk to the manager, he not there. they said the computer came in is bad, we need to order another one. i waited for another week, called again. they said is electrical problem we have to tow your car to other shop for electrical diagnoses, we don't know much about electrical. So i wated a few days and called in for status. they said other shop very busy there about 30 cars on the parking lot waiting. all of these were the big lie. so I stop by to see what is going on. the car is sitting in the parking for over the month, my new battery was drain out, body had big den damage on the passenger gear side they pushed it back out but still see damage. this time met the Manager Rafael Herrera (owner), he said the light D4 still on but driving ok, I said no is not going drive ok, he jump the battery for me to start the car so i can test drive. I test drive it anyway, problem is till not fix (when D4 gear ligh on the speed and torx is not right, it had the hard time to push the car in motion and when it motion very high RPM 3500-4000RPM at speed of 65-70 mile/hr).
I ask him if you can not fix the problem, i need to take it to other shop to fix. So he said give me till next Tuesday, its the computer, man. So all of these as the big lied, computer never order, never get to dealer reprogramming or not even try to repair it. its just parking on the parking lot over the Months. all of these caused me very frustrated and emotionly sick of this. never ever have this kind of situation before.
need it fix or pull my car back to drivable condition as original when drove to drop off and out of there parking lot. I filed the complain to BBB of Dallas.

rebuilt transmission that lasted 5 months – our transmission (rebuilt) LASTED 5 MONTHS that shouldnt be tried to deal with them on the issue and they keep saying the owners not in ,but he was there all the time when they were repairin my truck ........they were so nice then but acting up now will go to small claims if i have too oh yes im frm kansas ,and i have a warranty
Fair and Honest and CHEAP – I was referred by a friend and not disappointed. Give these guys a chance if you don't want to pay the price of a used car to get your trans replaced. I bought the parts at Dodge and they charged $200 for install. I saved over $1000
Don't take your car to Texas Star Transmission in Lewisville – I had my car's transmission rebuilt and they had the car for weeks. Recently I took it back because the check engine light came on (torque converter). They said it would be 2 days and it's been 6 days and counting!
This business never fixed my car, they had it 4 times for approximately 9 months, I took them to small claims court and won a judgement and they still will not give me my money!
Update, Texas Star Transmission has lost their BBB accredidation, due to this situation.
