Terrible Experiences – I have yet to see good customer service, on any level, at this gym. Their welcome is tepid at best, and now they'll force you to give them your fingerprints and have you type in your phone number with a finger scan every time you arrive, or you have to provide ID with every entrance. (I'm not giving you my fingerprints - talk about security issues! So you'll make my check-in more cumbersome and unpleasant. Nice.)
The weights are never put in their proper places. They don't seem to do "team clean" at all here, and they never ask inconsiderate members to put weights away where they belong. No one cares here - the staff doesn't care about the members, so why should the members care?
The men's locker room doesn't seem to be really cleaned more than once a week (I'm sure something is done more often, but it doesn't show).
As soon as I can afford another gym's exorbitant fees, I'm leaving 24HF. These folks don't get it.
Decent 24 Hour – With all the 4 and 5 stars this place is getting, you'd think that they were an Equinox or Spectrum Club but c'mon, it's 24 Hour Fitness. The review sounds like it was cut and pasted from promotional material. It seems a bit fake like the employees at the gym are trying to put up fake reviews.
Anyway, 24 Hour is not known for cleanliness like the other two clubs I've mentioned but you also pay a lot more for it. They have a decent amount of equipment for a sport-level 24 Hour, both the curved and straight back leg press since that's what I was paying attention to on my leg day for my visit.
The upstairs drinking fountain actually has somewhat chilled drinking fountain rather than most 24 hours which isn't chilled at all. The showers are horrible though. The white tiled walls have yellow staining patterns and the metal frames of the shower dividers has all kinds of stuff growing on it. Someone needs to introduce the cleaning staff to bleach.
Full-service gym offers weights, cardio equipment, sauna, steam room, classes and personal training, open for most hours of the day. – In Short
With classes ranging from 24 Hour Tease, a sexy strip aerobic class, to the more subdued Vinyasa flow yoga and butt-kickin' boot camp, this active sports club is packed with health conscious (and some insomniac) gym goers. Stocked with the latest cardio and weight-training equipment, this gym cranks up the pumping music, flicks on the Plasma TV sets, and lets fitness fanatics work out according to their own schedule. With affordable rates and a friendly, knowledgeable staff, personal training is another tangible get-fit option. And while the moniker is somewhat misleading, on most days the door is open for at least nineteen hours--not too shabby.
