The dining room set I bought fell apart within a year. When I brought it to a furniture refinisher, they told me it was verneer, not solid wood , like Renata said, and not worth refinishing, so I donated it to the Salvation Army. Same thing with all the jewelry I bought. I realize it was costume, but it fell apart within weeks, and of course, Renata said it was myfault, when I have good quality costume jewelry that is 20 years old. The last time I called, some lady answered and said Renata was filing bankruptcy. STAY AWAY!

Get it in writing. Verbal contracts broken after payment – I purchased 2 armoires from Se La Ve on February 1, 2011. The owner, Renata, assured me both armoires broke down and that I could return the pieces if I could not make them fit. Delivery dates were cancelled twice without notification. One did not break down. When I tried to return it I was told the store would only give store credit. I was forced to agree to wait for another shipment of antiques. At that time, I was to have first choice of inventory. On Sat. 4/2 I received a message that the shipment was in and that I should call Renata to go to the warehouse/barn that week to see what was available. I was out of town. I called at 10:36 am on Mon. 4/4. Renata had already sold the inventory to a dealer, but saved me a couple of pieces in the shop, because “she knew what I wanted.” When I arrived at the shop one of the two pieces was one I had already rejected. The price was not on the second armoire. Renata said to tell me the price was $2700. Since I paid less for the much nicer/larger but similar armoire, I feel she padded the price knowing I had no other choice but to purchase the one armoire she left for me at whatever price she chose to put on it. I left the shop without purchasing and without resolving the issue, because I do not believe this woman has any intention of dealing fairly with me.
