I own many rental properties in town. I have upgraded some of my homes with new appliances. I had an issue with one of the appliance. Lowe's Service Advantage sent out this company. I have to say, I am very impressed with this company! They came out to the home, diagnosed it and was able to repair the issue at the time of service. The tech did a great job. I had issues with one of my other rental properties that I have not upgraded at this time, I called into the office spoke with the owners wife, she was very sweet and very knowledgeable herself on the appliances. I was able to repair one of the issues myself because of the knowledge of the owners wife. They do seem to be very busy, but she did get the tech out there, he diagnosed, ordered parts and came back to install, everything was a reasonable price. I will be requesting this company from now on and using them for all my appliance needs on all my rental properties and my personal home as well.
Excellent Service! I purchased my unit from Lowe's here in town. I also purchased an extended warranty on it. I had issues about 2 weeks after we purchased the units, Lowe's sent Paul's Appliance Service out to my home. I read the reviews on here and was a bit skeptical at first. I called the company in order to confirm they did receive my work order, the young lady in the office was very friendly and was very helpful with every question I had for her.
They tech came out to my home, he did a great job. He was able to fix one of my units at the time of service, and had to order parts on the other. The parts ordered for my other unit were placed on a back order. The receptionist informed me that she would continue to email until she could get some resolution, and that she did, it wasn't long after speaking with the receptionist that she had called the warranty company they got me a loaner to use until the parts were in. When the parts came in they scheduled the tech to come to my home and installed the parts. The unit is working great! Both units are working great! I also had an issue with another appliance that is not under warranty and I was able to call back and received the same experience and service!
I would recommend to everyone reading all the comments, to take the complaints with a grain of salt, I too myself work in customer service, and there are some people that will never be satisfied no matter what you do for them, in fact will be right out mean, rude, and hurtful. I have had excellent experiences with this company, They do stay very busy but they are very friendly almost like a family. It has been great and I will always use them for all my appliance needs and will recommend them to everyone!
We recommend this company! The technician that came to our home was very knowledgeable, ordered parts, the part was ordered, they called us soon after installed the part. We have had no problems since. They have now worked on four different appliances for us, and we have had the same experience each time! We will continue to use this company for all of our appliance needs!
Horrible, incompetent, rude and unprofessional!
Here's what you should know: if you buy an appliance from Lowes, Paul's is one of only two service providers available to you in the Bryan/College Station area. If you buy the extended warranty (Lowes Protection Plan) as we did, you should know this. When you call Lowes to get service on whatever appliance you've purchased, tell them you DO NOT WANT Paul's Appliance Service on your property!
In July 2012, I purchased a Fridgidaire Gallery french-door-style refrigerator from Lowes in College Station, TX. I also purchased the extended warranty (Lowes Protection Plan), giving me a total of five years coverage on the refrigerator.
We began noticing that there was constantly a pool of water in the door and on the floor in front of the refrigerator, and gradually our ice maker stopped working. In March 2013, I called Lowes Warranty Service and they scheduled Paul's Appliance Service to come out. March 9, 2013, Paul's Appliance Service came out and said I needed a new water valve. They ordered it, and had it shipped to my house. I called them, and they came back on March 12, 2013 and installed the water valve. He said if that didn't work, they'd order a new ice making unit, and that I should let them know. It took a few days, but finally the refrigerator began making ice, but after a few more days, it started the same leaking problem and stopped making ice.
I called Paul's on March 28, 2013 and left a message (I couldn't get a live person), letting them know that the water valve had not been a fix and that the refrigerator was still not working properly. I never heard back from them.
On May 7, 2013, I again called Paul's Appliance Service, but I could never get a live person. I left a message but they didn't listen to it and instead called me back after looking at their caller ID, I guess. The girl who called back was very curt and short with me from the time I answered the phone. As I tried to explain that we had been waiting for two months for them to complete the repair work on the Fridgidaire Gallery refrigerator we purchased from Lowes (College Station, TX), the receptionist interrupted me and very curtly said, "Well, I can't control how fast part come in." When I asked if two months was a standard lead time, she said, "Sometimes it is." When I tried to say something else, she again interrupted me and put me on hold.
When she came back on, I tried to ask a question, but before I could even complete a sentence, she started taking over me, saying, "I don't need to hear anything else...you already said your piece and you don't need to complain anymore." I was taken aback at the harshness and said, "Now hold on a minute." She started taking over me again and I kept repeating "Please don't talk over me, please don't talk over me..." I heard her hold the phone away from her ear and tell someone, "He's yelling at me." Another lady picked up the phone and immediately began yelling at me! "Sir, you cannot yell at us. You can someone else if you want to, but we do not have to listen to this!" She slammed the phone down without me ever saying a word to her (the second woman).
I immediately called back and got their voicemail again and left a very firm message, leaving my cell phone number and asking the owner to call me. No one ever called me back. I called Lowes and they filed a complaint and scheduled another company to come out and repair my refrigerator. Paul's came to our house on March 7, 2013, came back to install a water valve on March 12th, and pledged to order the part when I followed up on March 15th. We waited and waited and ever heard back until I called on May 7th and was treated so inappropriately.
To this day, I've never heard back from Paul's.
If you have googled appliance repair and made it to these reviews, you have just saved yourself a massive headache! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...I would tell my story, but it has already been told by others. Wrong parts, more wrong parts and 3 months later nothing has been fixed.
Avoid Paul's Appliance Repair.
They are absolutely terrible!
We were without a dryer for over 1 month because of these people. Paul's came out and replaced 3 different parts and we still did not have a working dryer. At that point we spoke to the owner who said that when they come back out he is going to have the service guy call him and discuss what's going on with the dryer etc. Paul himself scheduled our appointment. Appointment time came along. Nobody showed up. Nobody called. We even left 2 messages that afternoon. Nobody called back. When we call back the next business day the rude receptionist answers. I identify myself. She says "just a minute". She gets back on the line and says "contact the warranty company". I say excuse me? She says "I've told you everything you need to know" - then click. Are you kidding me? I call back and Paul answers and I get an extremely lame apology for his wife hanging up on me and he tells me they are done with us. Well, my advice is be done with them before even calling for repairs! These people do not deserve your business!
Paul's service man (Stuart) was sincere in his attempts to fix our Viking range - but Paul's customer service over the phone was awful - inarticulate - and horrible loud scratchy music while on hold - our oven has been broken for two months - no thanksgiving turkey - Paul's exhausted their expertise (if they had any) after 3 part replacements - oven still broken - American Homeshield (who is about to get an earful) has sent a second company - who appears equally unqualified to work on Viking - now no Christmas dinner? Really?
Terrible is a good word for Paul's. They just don't care. I have been trying to get my washer fixed for 4 weeks. I finally got the part overnighted so I call to let them know. They tell me they can not make it out for 5 more days. Why overnight if you are not going to be there to fix it.
Terrible. Really terrible.
We bought a new house and a few days after we moved in, the fridge broke down and the insurance company sent these people out to fix it.
Apparently, it's rocket science, because after 3 attempts (yep, 3 of them) they quit with the insurance company on our job, but not before refusing to turn up at the agreed time. Three weeks without a fridge! Paul's wife was rude over the phone, refusing to even speak in a civil tone and then hanging up.
There's a slurpy Christian song and message on their voicemail, but don't believe it, these people do not show many qualities of their faith.
