I would not recommend California Healthy Harvest canned fruit to anyone. I have two cans of diced pears I bought about six months ago at Odd Lots. Both ends of both cans are now convex. I called the number given on the can and the snippy girl who answered told me to just throw them out. Okay, I certainly will! But first, the end stamp on the cans is P7436 D801B in case they want to issue a recall on this product as they should.
NO These are not peaches! – I opened a can this morning - IONS023AB 22:19 2640I PEAR SL (listed on the bottom of the can). I had a label of Yellow Cling Peach Halves. Guess what was in it? Pears, of course, because I didn't look at the bottom of the can for the "true" contents. Poor form!
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! – This company does not put dates on their canned goods. I thought it was LAW that they had to do it? This is really scary becasue there is no way of knowing how old the can of food is. Tried to call the company but the only number they have listed you can not reach anyone on and can't e-mail them either! I have lots of other canned goods in my pantry and they are all dated except for canned goods from this company. We did not notice when buying at the store but obviously will check a lot closer from now on. I won't buy this product any more and you shouldn't either. Too RISKY without dates!!!!!!!!
ITALIAN PEELED TOMATOES WITH BASIL / 28 OZ. – I HAVE BEEN PURCHASING THE ABOVE PRODUCT
FROM 99 CENTS STORE FOR THE LAST 9 MONTHS
IN QUANTITIES OF 18 OR MORE CANS AT A TIME.
NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS OR DISASTISFIED. THE
SAME ON THE TOMATOES PASTE ON LARGER QUAN-
TITIES SAME RESULT.
MATTER OF FACT, I AM UNABLE TO FIND THE PRODUCT FROM 99 CENTS STORE , BEEN OUT FOR
THE LAST 2 TIMES I WENT IN FOR MORE ACQUIISITION. TEMPORATY OUT....
THAT IS THE ONLY 2 PRODUCTS I BUY UNDER THAT
LABEL "CALIFORNIA HEALTHY HARVEST"
GOOD LUCK TO ALL
Don't buy Los Mochis canned green chilis – I generally buy "Old El Paso"canned green chilis but seeing the Los Mochis cheaper, thought I'd try a can of them. Not worth the cheaper price. Lots of water, some stringly things, and a huge hunk of stem. Never again!
Cans of Diced Green Chilis all water – I bought several 4 oz. cans of this company's Los Mochis brand diced green chilis. They are either all water, water and a few pieces of chili, chili skin or sticks. The interior of the cans show dark spots. All cans labeled "Best by 7/17/2010". This is a real scam. No contact information available at their website. It's a deadend.
Diced Green Chilies – I am so upset with the quality ingredients inside the can. Now when we make green chilies we skin them and cut the stems off correct? So I just ruined my entire meal assuming that the can did that. My guest and I were pulling stems and skins out while we were eating not just one or two, like the whole can was full of it. Huge disappointment so irritated about this. I hate company's like this, "that want to make quick money with zero quality attention for the consumer" considering they have ruined my meal and my dates appetite. I figured I'll take a little time to write a problem about this product.
California healthy harvest "premium quality" Bartlett pears – I now notice the other cans have expanded and the lids are no longer concave but convex. I'm afraid to open them or even consider eating the contents. I looked for contact information on line, none exists excepting snail mail. Seems odd in the 21st Century. welloh...
