bad experience - the other reviews must be false – Worst experience. This place is extremely unprofessional.
I would give them zero stars if I could. I bought a deal of 16 lazer treatments. It is almost impossible to get an appointment. I have 3 of my scheduled appointments moved. Twice they did not even tell me. They tried to make up for it by offering me 6 appointments for free only to later reneg that offer. What business does that?? In my original consult, they said not to schedule treatments beyond 6 weeks. Now that they can't fit me into the books, they say it would be fine within 3 mos. ??! They claim they are no longer honoring compensations, since they are under new managment. What?? Same name...same business, so they should honor the same obligations as before. I feel like I wasted money and wish I could get a refund and go elsewhere.
worst spa ever! – I bought 16 LHR sessions in september 2010. Appointments 1 and 2 went great so I decided to buy another 10 sessions and do more areas. Appointment 3 kept me waiting for 45 minutes I had to leave half way through to make a pre planned event. #4 was fine. #5 they had some "emergency" and rescheduled me 4 weeks later which was the next opening.
Nothing Impressive – I wish we had seen one of those deals you find on those discount sites where they offer you a discounted rate for a package deal. The service was below average....never knew the names of the 2 girls that actually provided the services. They had me carrying around my clothes and shoes! Even though they have a locker room. Nice! They did not take the time to explain to you what you should expect or do. We were offered a steam before our services and so we were excited to go into a steam room together. Only to find out that we were each put in separate rooms and sit in a tiny shower with the shower running to catch some steam. The temperature in my shower only got to 82 degrees .....that's not a hot steam room to me! Disappointing. The actually massage was just ok. The facial was good I guess. Haven't had enough of other facials to compare. It's an ok place if you get it on the cheap. But if you're looking for a very soothing relaxing luxurious spa experience then this is not the place to go.
Horrifying experience – This was the worst spa experience I have ever received. Not only was the way the receptionist treated me , but the owner was unprofessional and rude. It is also very dirty and that's to bad because the place is very nicely decorated. I would not recommend this spa to anybody.
Fun beauty salon spa – This is sort of a one stop place for beauty needs. In my mind's eye, I like to think of it as part eyelashes salon, and part relaxing day spa. I got a gift certificate to spa la la for Christmas gift, and used it for a facial and bikini waxing. Spa la la looks similar to some of those swanky Palm Springs California resort spas, with the nature music and soft room lighting. The services were very good and I diddn't have any complaints. I guess the best thing I liked about this spa was the friendly people working. The guy who answered the phone was really nice, and hooked me up with a discount on my next treatment. Next time I get a little cash in my hands, I'll come back for a pedi. Nice place.
Best brazilian Bikini Wax – I had plans to travel out of town, and wanted to find a day spa that offered brazilian wax for my bikini lines. This was my first experience with any kind of body waxing, and I was not sure what to expect. The girl who did it went out of here wait to make sure I did not experience pain and discomfort. It was all over in a few min and I was just fine. I went with a friend and the whole thing was over before my friend finished her mani and pedi. Not a bad place at all if you want affordable spa prices and good service.
Great day spa in Chicago – All I can say is that I am glad I found a day spa that has professional therapeutic massage in Chicago. My sister was getting married, and they had their bachelorette party at Spa la la. Since I was the one that had to drive, I demanded the girls at least pay for my massage. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, and they had this spa special for couples massage. I grabbed one of her friends and we both got the treatment. She got a back massage and I had the full body treatment. I felt like a million bucks after and the whole thing was really cheap. If any of my other sisters get married, we are going here!
Best Restylane Skin Treatment – A plastic surgeon for my skin was not in my budget, so I decided to try Restylane wrinkle injections from Spa La La in Chicago. I explained on the phone that I had some pretty deep lines around my nose and mouth, and was interested in learning about their dermal fillers. A girl named Lizzy invited me in to show me everything they offered, and did not charge me a penny for the consultation. I was impressed that a Chicago day spa salon offered medspa treatments, and felt comfortable after hearing how the skin treatment worked.
A week later, I arrived for my appointment. Another girl named Colleen, calmed my nerves, and got me ready to see the doctor. It took about a 45 min to finish. During this time the staff kept stopping in the room to see if I was okay. What impressed me most was that later on that night, the owner of the spa called me to see if I was feeling okay. Other than a little swelling, I felt just fine. Even if you are not stopping here for skin fillers, the staff here is nice, and their prices are reasonable. Two Thumbs Up!
Terrific Botox Treatment – It's been really difficult to find a day spa that specials on Botox in Chicago, until I came across this place. I guess the new trend in Chicago is to have a combo beauty salon spa, that offers medspa treatments, as well as everything you would get from a regular spa.
I've never had any kind of cosmetic skin treatments to my face, so I was a little nervous. The girls at the front door were very helpful, and me relax before I went in with the doctor. My goal was to have a smoother, more relaxed skin and I got that with their Botox treatment. I paid about $200.00 to have my forehead and crowsfeet around my eyes treated, and I got a free therapuetic facial out of the deal. It's been about 3 months since I got the botox shots, and my face still looks pretty smooth. There are a lot of really good chicago day spas I'm sure, but for my first experience, I will come back here for sure.
Never Again – This was honestly the worst spa service I have ever received. Not only were treatments unsatisfactory, but the owner was unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend this spa to anyone I know. The only saving grace was the decor.
