Totally Hairless!! – I've been waxing for years, as shaving gives me horrible rashes, but the waxing always left me with really bad ingrown hairs. I even tried electrolysis but that was slow and very expensive. I finally decided to try laser hair removal and I am so grateful that I did.

My two cents, if you want to be hairless it helps to be patient. I just wanted the hair to be gone for the summer but it ended up taking me about 7 treatments for one area with minimum 5 weeks in between to really get rid of it.

To my understanding the laser zaps the hair follicle and messes with its growth pattern. And as long as you don't damage the follicle by waxing or plucking the hairs you can basically pick up where you left off whenever.

The specialist here is a gem. He walked me through the procedure and explained how exactly the laser works to change the hair follicle at the root. I've been going to Phoenix Rising for over a year now both for laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation with great results!!

PLEASE READ THIS! – This review I am writing is not a joke, and it is 100% truthful. I know Morgan and I have been friends with some of his staff members. He is completely unprofessional and very unstable as a person. He smokes crystal meth on a regular basis and frequently is high when he works on his clients. The days when he calls out "sick" and cancels on all of his clients are days when he is too high on meth to come in to work. He frequently cancels and then tries to reschedule a 5 day work week into a 3 day work week. He then schedules people back to back, only allowing 15 minutes for appointments which take at least 30 minutes. Half of the time when he tries to reschedule people he refuses to work an extra day the next week, and he doesn't seem to care if the people that were cancelled even get rescheduled appropriately.

He has a 5 minute late rule, where if a client is 5 minutes late, the receptionist has to call the client and ask them where they are and tell them if they are not there within 5 minutes that the appointment will be cancelled and that they will be charged anyway. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS because he is constantly running behind, sometimes 45 minutes to an hour late. The receptionists that work there are always quitting because they are getting paid off the books, and sometimes do not get paid. They also are mistreated and are being verbally abused by Morgan. They have informed me that many of Morgan's patients are constantly complaining that their hair always grows back and that they would rather go somewhere else and pay more, but get better quality treatments.

Morgan also gives preferential treatment to his male clients, especially the good looking ones. He will spend well over an hour with one male client with a job that should have taken 30 minutes, and leave 4 female clients waiting in the front room. He has also made some of his female clients cry because he yells at them inappropriately for being late. His receptionist told me that after he made one client cry he laughed about it after she left. He is a sick and mean person and he should not be running any kind of business. He will probably report this review and have it taken down, but I am NOT making any of this up. If you want someone to work on you while being high on crystal meth, then Morgan is the man for you.

Wouldn't go back if I was paid – All the 1-star reviews are correct. This guy only stays in business through Groupon/ LifeBooker/ Living Social deals. Well, many people have gone & left fair & (unfortunately for him) negative reviews.

Honestly, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

My experience was really awful. It's a bizarre experience because it almost seems as though Morgan (the owner & sole technician) goes out of his way to be nasty to you. When I first encountered the rudeness & pretentiousness I looked around to check if I was on Candid Camera or getting Prank'd - the extreme attitude came out of nowhere! After the initial shock, I figured he was having a bad day so brushed it off & thought I'd kill him with kindness.... it didn't work.

I went in for 5 out of my 6 appointments. I don't even know why I went in again after the first time; I guess I thought the bad experience was a fluke & didn't want to lose my investment. Anyway, the procedure was pretty painless, it was dealing with Morgan that was excruciating. He's very condescending, patronizing & demeaning. In his delusional mind, he's always right & will stomp on you to make sure you remember this fact.

There must be some deep-rooted issues with Morgan for him to treat people this way, especially in the business he's in. I will never, ever go back & it looks like I'm not the only one. There are over 40 negative reviews on Yelp that have been filtered on this place... take a look & judge for yourself.

All they do are Groupon/Living Social Deals – I've seen PRL do deals on all the deal sites - Groupon and Living Social multiple times. I do not know why these companies continue to do business with PRL as Morgan, the owner, is the rudest person I've ever encountered in a customer service environment. I was afraid to go back and have him point a laser at me because I knew he wouldn't even bother to take care of me. I believe he does all these deal sites because he wouldn't have business otherwise. He seems like one of those people who always thinks he's right and does not have the mentality that he needs to put his customers first. btw, my appointment was cancelled last minute also, and i was blamed for not being flexible. morgan is a diva. take your money elsewhere. i feel so strongly about this that i actually signed up for citysearch just to leave a review about how horrible this place is. that is how much morgan grates on a person's nerves.

Bad reviews are spot on..sadly – This is the wrong address, but from the other reviews...the right place. Unfortunately they are correct. Morgan is a total idiot. I have an uncomfortable feeling every time in this place, as if i have to try to please HIM. Ugh. No thanks. This isn't brain surgery. As soon as I am done with what I paid for, I am out of here forever. Drama Queen...

I would rather lose my money than go back. – I'm new to citysearch, but established on Yelp and wanted to copy the review here to warn people:

I AM NOT GOING BACK!! I don't care that I bought a 6 treatment package and only completed 3. I'd rather lose the money than ever see him again.

Morgan is full on abusive! He is never available and has made me cry with his snarky attitude any time that I've been there.

He's cancelled on me twice, within 5 minutes of my appointment time. I was already at his office! Yet if you're at all late he'll scold you like a child, or worse, cancel on you and charge you for it.

I started my treatments 9 months ago, hoping to complete all 6 before my wedding. Now, 8 months later, I've completed 3 and IT HASN'T BEEN EFFECTIVE. It takes over two months to book an appointment and if you ever have to cancel it starts all over! I'd put up with it if it worked, but I'm not going to be abused for no results. (I have tried other laser places since that have great results and good customer service.)

The first time I went I sat in the lobby for over 30 minutes before I ever saw a soul and listened to him in the other room, complaining to a customer about how terrible Groupon customers are. Then when he finally came out he said I "looked impatient". This was the first time I met the guy. And then he was listed in Livingsocial a few weeks later! If you don't like them, stop offering the deals. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, Morgan!

Makes Top 10 Mistakes of My Life – Below is also what I posted on Yelp:

Wow. I am stunned, appalled, perplexed and frustrated about this extraordinarily bizarre experience.

I found this deal off Groupon & did some homework by searching on Yelp, googling reviews & checking the place out. It seemed legit and the deal was too good to be true so I went for it. In hindsight this definitely makes my list for top 10 mistakes of my life.

In general, I echo what the other one star reviews state here. (Thanks guys! I'm glad I'm not the only one.)

I finished my 6 sessions last year - this is considered a "full" end to end process for hair removal from what I've heard from many sources including the owner himself, Morgan. I think this warrants a fair review.

Morgan is very rude, unprofessional & inappropriate. The warm welcomes & initial conversations make you think otherwise. I ignored it, grinned & bore through it; I just needed my sessions, I could care less about customer service. But after my 5th session, I really couldn't take it anymore. No one deserves to be treated like that.

I'm still reeling from this experience. He will say that he's just being blunt, but it's an excuse for him to be rude, patronizing, demeaning & hateful. When in a "good" mood, he'll tell stories where he is (conveniently) always right, always the victim and all these customers are mean, malicious & ignorant.

This was traumatizing. Like Alison B. "wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy". For realskis.

FLAKY SERVICE – My first two treatments were great, but for the following two appointments, Morgan (the owner) cancelled on me due to problems with his equipment. I understand that's out of his control but he never called me back to reschedule and has very few time slots open. It's become annoying because on the original schedule, I would have been done with my treatments by July- now it will be October or later (who knows?! I still haven't heard back from Morgan re: rescheduling despite leaving multiple messages). He's only open M, TH, F & SAT so if you don't get in touch with him on one of those days, you're out of luck. Bad customer service and terrible time slots available for appointments.

Know It ALL – This is not like other laser places who have random people treating you for 2 seconds. This guy really took his time to learn about my needs, my skin, my hair, etc. He made some really interesting suggestions and i just felt like he was doing stuff that was in my best interest - not his. I'll keep going here for as long as they are in business or until I have no more unwanted hair!
