best deal on the strip – We stayed @ the Aladdin for X-mas/New Year's and it turned out to be our best trip to Vegas yet. Its grandeur is a notch below the Bellagio which makes it luxurious yet approachable. The Desert Passage Mall (my favorite along w/ the Venetian's) is spacious, full of exceptional dining (Commander's Palace, sushi buffet, mexican, etc.), has myriad shopping choices (ABC for cheap H2O/snacks, stores for all budgets as opposed to ultra high-end @ Wynn, etc.), & transports you to another time & place (amazing attention to detail). The Casino is my fave b/c of high ceilings, friendly yet unobtrusive staff, & lucky slots. The breakfast buffet was awesome but steer clear of Zanzibar. The Elemis spa was beautiful and my treatments were fantastic. Bottom line: best location, affordable luxury, crowds not overwhelming, large & clean rooms w/ gorgeous bathroom, etc.
I want to go back – Great place. Staff is really nice. Especially the craps personnel. I didn't know much about craps and they were very patient and had a good sense of humor. I thought the hotel was beautiful. The spa is nice too, but pricey. Pool area is okay, too many kids, but there are too many children in Vegas anyways. For the money this is the best place I've stayed. I heard they are changing Alladin to a Planet Hollywood hotel. NO!!! It's good the way it is.
Less Advertising- Better Buffet – After seeing all the ads about the Spice Market Buffet and their being "voted #1 buffet in vegas", 6 of us went. For $43 a couple we thought it would be great. Big dissappointment! Where was the promised "hand-carved New York Strip steak, an abundant seafood bar"? As we were ready to leave, someone showed up at the steak grill and began to grill steaks. When we sat down to eat, most of us had the same items..scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, toast/muffins. This was not by chioce. Very little variety of food. Denny's or a similar restaurant would have been better and for less. Eight of us went into the buffet but one couple did not want to eat that much so did not join us. If they had, the bill, includng 17% gratuity, would have been over $200. Aladdin should spend less on advertising and more on supplying food advertised.
Great Deal – This is the 7th hotel we've stayed at in Vegas (like to try new places) and would definitely recommend the Aladdin. From the moment our cab dropped us off- the service was great- from a very helpful valet to the free room upgrade. The room was massive - the bathroom amazing! The dealers and pit bosses at the table games were some of the nicest we've encountered and we did better than we've ever done at video poker at the Aladdin. I can't say I loved the buffet, but the cafe is great. Just skip Blondie's if you go into the mall. What a rip off. We're just curious to see how much Planet Hollywood is going to change up the whole place.
Fountain view room! – Had the opportunity to upgrade to a fountain view room -- well worth it as the view from above was even better than at ground level. The central location on the strip made it easy to get around. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The casino wasn't overly loud nor as smokey as some others were. Others had complained about the housekeeping - the only problem we had is they only gave us one glass one day. The conceirge staff was very helpful with directions and infomation. Would stay here again.
Great Hotel – The Aladdin is a beautiful hotel full of abundant shopping and gambling opportunities. The location is excellent, right across the street from the Bellagio Fountains, and next door to the Paris Hotel and many other must see sites! The Zanzibar Cafe offers tasty and well presented food at great prices! Though the housekeeping left a bit to be desired, overall, I highly recommend this hotel and its Fountain View rooms.
what a great hotel – this was our first trip to las vegas, and we stayed at the aladdin on the advice of friends who loved the place...they were right on - everything from start to finish was simply wonderful..great food, great staff, beautiful room, everything was incredible...we went around to many other hotels on the strip and none had that welcoming feel the aladdin gave us...we will be back to vegas, and there's no question we'll be staying here again
Enjoyable stay – I thought the Aladdin had a great combination of comfort, conveniences, and location for the price.
My room (a standard room) felt clean but small, though the bathroom is usually large. Nice tub and shower.
The conveniences are plenty, from decent restaurants to a whole shopping mall. The casino seems a bit small by new Vegas standards but a comfortable size. When I was there the service was very friendly.
Overall, it was priced a little high for what you get, but I recommend it.
Aladdin Resort & Casino – I have stayed at Aladdin on three different occasions in the last two years and have always been impressed with the service, the rooms, the personnel and the food. I have also stayed at MGM, Circus Circus, Paris and Bally's in the last few years and I beleieve that Aladdin is the best of that group, by far. It is not overcrowded, yet there is enough "action" to maintain the excitement level. The prices are very reasonable, the attention to detail is very good and the restaurants are excellent. The machines are loose enough, if you learn the right ones. The table games are professional, but a little quiet. The floor staff is very cordial. The central Strip location is perfect. I recommend the Aladdin very highly. It is an excellent value.
Great Buffet! – The hotel's location is extremely convenient. The rooms are standard sized and clean; the bathrooms are large. The rooms are a little bit of a hike from the entrance, which seems to be typical in LV. You must try the buffet - probably the best next to Bellagio! They also give a discount for the buffet for guests as well as priority seating.
