I had an excellent experience at Toyota Santa Monica. My salesperson was Mayer Cohan. Mayer was so incredibly knowledgable about every major and minor aspect of my Prius Hybrid Plugin, and the available incentives in buying the vehicle, that it made the lease very pleasurable. Mayer has also been extremely quick to reply to all my after purchase questions and even helped me in charging my car for the first time. Ask for Mayer when buying a car at Toyota Santa Monica. You'll be happy you did.

My BMW recently got totaled due to a crazy person trashed it as it was parked in the street and of course the crazy guy did hit my car and run away .
you can imagine in what kind of sadness and attitude I had to look for another car,
asking around , my first choice was " Jetta TDI " which in a lot of ways is very compatible with BMW. after visiting a couple of the VW dealership in the area, per 2 of my family member's recommendation I checked into the Toyota of Santa Monica where I met this wonderful man named Mark Ashtini ,and one of my best experience of Automobile purchasing jorney did start here .
looking back, I truly believe I was really lucky to have this man with his very welcoming attitude come across my way.
Mark talked to me over several options and spent a great deal of time going over my budget and my options in a very kind way, this was a week before I made my decision. He also offered me a very good price and suggested that I take my time and check into other places as well which at this time I could see and feel his genuine desire toward my best interest , and this is one of the exceptional experience you can get at a car dealership .
As you can guess at this time his honest and sincere manner led me back there again. my heart was already set in purchasing the car he recommended , no doubt in my mind that I sure get the best deal and I did.
I am very thankful of him beyond the words and will recommend anyone who is looking for an honest dealer, to visit Toyota of Santa Monica and make sure to see Mark first. By the way I found out that he is been the sales Manager for over 11 years there,
I am very happy purchasing my corolla from this place , Mr. Ashtini offered me a very good price and a beautiful Car and also treated me with a great deal of respect.

If you go to Toyota to have your car serviced/fixed request THOMAS SOVEG. He called to give me updates and was all around very helpful with my questions/concerns. I took my car back to Thomas to have three new tires put on and he had the car ready early. He's quick on his feet and very attentive. We are quick to complain but we ought to make an effort to acknowledge stellar service.
Sheri Atkins, Assistant Service Manager at Toyota, Santa Monica was gracious, considerate and extremely helpful in arranging necessary services for my Prius. I will request her for my next service.
This is a great place. I have used them since 1995 and have always felt they took care of my cars. Joanna and Marlon are some of the finest service tecs around. I highly recommend them to anyone.
PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER DEALER – i spent 7 hours at the dealership waiting for them to find the car i wanted. When i took it in to have some of the premium packages put on that i had paid for they told me my car was not compatible. WHAT IN THE WORLD? The manager came out and started telling me the upgraded speakers are no big deal and that they sound as good as the ones i have and that the subwoofer only moves air around and that humans cant even hear the the low tones generated by that speaker. he was telling me that the 6 factory speakers sound as good as the 12 premium JBL speakers. He is insane. He tells me that the car he sold me does not support the 12 speaker package anyway and that they would make no money off me if he in fact added those speakers. I cant believe it. I paid for it already. I told them i wanted a black interior but they did not have one in stock. so they sold me grey one but told me they would switch out the seats and redo the inside. Now im told that there will be a grey vinyl patch by the door handle that they cant replace because its to expensive for them....
I was sold a car based on the fact that i could get the features added on that i wanted. easy. i was lied to. apparently the car i have will not accommodate the specifics of what i wanted and paid for.
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING OR LEASING A CAR FROM THESE LIERS AND THIEFS.
Crooks with No conscience – I don't know how these people sleep at night. I took my 2003 Camry there for a service and they call me up and tell me I need $3,400.00 in repairs including a new computer and catalytic converter among other things. I took it to another mechanic and they said all I needed was an oil change. Toyota service responded that since the computer was broken it gave them false readings, but still charged me $108.00 for the false diagnosis, (the computer is not really broken either). I thought it was just that service rep so I took it back months later after it kept stalling out after AAA put a new battery in it. When they called me and told me that the throttle body assembly needed to be replaced for $1,500.00 I knew that this was the way they do business and not just an isolated incident. Took it to another mechanic and was told that when you replace the battery on new cars they may stall out for a short time. I will dispute the charge this time.
They do not want to do business with you unless they can rip you off. You have been warned.
Thives. They charged me and never fixed the problem. – I will never take my car to the toyota dealer again. They are thives. I heard a loud clicking sound in the back of my car and was concerned b/c every time I drove my car it sounded like the car was going to fall apart. I took it in to the Toyota dealer on a Saturday and told them about the sound by my back rear wheel. They kept the car all day, only to call me and tell me that they couldn't fix the struts b/c they didn't have the machine to fix it. Wait ... I drive a toyota and this is a toyota dealer and they don't have the machine to fix their own cars? I was already mad when they told me this, but to make things worse when I picked up the car they charged me over a $100 for labor and hadn't even fixed the problem. On Monday I took the car to a Shell station to be looked at the mechanic found the real problem. The 2 bolts were missing on my wheel, which only left 2 to hold it on. The mechanic said the car was unsafe for me to even be driving and that Toyota should have caught the problem. When I called Toyota back to tell them what happened their response was "that's the risk you take when you bring your car in" and refused to refund my money. I'm disputing the charges with my credit card company now. I should press charges on Toyota for having me "take the risk" to drive an unsafe vehicle they worked on!!! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO TOYOTA ... b/c according to them you take the risk of driving an unsafe vehicle if you do!!!
