In Short – A dry-erase board advertises community events and honey-colored furnishings give Hanover's a homey atmosphere. The venue features live music three to four nights a week. The club features an inside stage, a dance floor and an outdoor beer garden. The more than 80 draft beers include brews from Germany, Ireland and Scotland. Barbecue lunches and dinners and nightly drink specials are available as well.

EXCELLENCE--Texas Style!

this was my first time here. I loved it! This is the way Texas "honky-tonks" used to be! From the guy sitting at the door, the friendly staff, the laughter, COLD drinks, excellent music and food, to the patrons all friendly. WOW!

I thought they were cheating themselves on the prices...I wanted to pay more...you will in downtown Austin...
easy to find. great parking.
EXPERIENCE THIS!!! you will not want to leave.
Book a party...there is plenty of room and they treat you like you own the place.

What happened to this place??? We went back a few wks ago after not being there for awhile. The smoke was so strong it almost knocked us over as soon as you walk in the door. Parents are smoking with their kids in there. (I guess no one in Pflug has heard of the dangers of 2nd hand smoke????) It was very run down and dirty. Its a shame for Pflugerville that this place has gone down hill so much.

What happened to the great bands?

I have lived int the Pflugerville area for a long time and have seen Hanover's go through many reincarnations. I have also seen many great acts in the past from Bob Schneider, Toni Price, Los Lonely Boys (really!) to Leon Russell. That was several years ago. These days, it's still a great bar, but the acts booked are 3rd rate at best. I wish Hanover's would start booking known bands again and advertise a little. I still love the fact that I can get there and park easily without having to deal with downtown Austin.
- Pros: Great location (not downtown) funky bar
- Cons: Lack of good bands
