Brooklyn Bowl has great fried chicken courtesy of Blue Ribbon, but my favorite part of it is certainly a dance party called Soul Clap dj'ed by Jonathan Toubin. Bowling is on the expensive side, but I've seen many great concerts, free and ticketed, here, from Talib Kweli and Jean Grae to Das Racist.
A bowling alley in name only, Brooklyn Bowl is really a restaurant, a concert venue, and one of the social centers of Williamsburg. But you can bowl there if you want to.
My 5 year old had a bad slip and fall here. He badly injured his face and needed to go to the emergency room. He nearly broke his cheek. It took 5 days for anyone from Brooklyn Bowl to call us back. Finally we got a call from Steven (D.O.) who quickly stated "were not responsible" and that "Kids just get hurt" . I never expected such terrible guest relations from a place.
drinks, good food bowling... who could ask for more? – this place was amazing i had a great time with my friends and im definitely coming back. it was everything i could ask for on a saturday night (sad).
lots of fun with friends, place a little congested – good atmosphere great middle eastern music my only grievance is that the place got a little crowded but that must mean that business is good!
Best venue in the world! – Best venue in the country, maybe the world. I am here at least 5 times a month and it is always a blast. Best food, beers and bowling in the hood. Bowlive 2 starts tonight! Be there!!!!!
Good place, good prices ! – Me and my friends had a very good time there ! Love the place, its style.
But unfortunately, it was sooo noisy !
Best bowling experience in NYC – This is the best bowling in NYC!
High-tech bowling alley and concert venue. – It’s hard not to be impressed with the sheer spectacle of this 23,000-square foot bowling alley. Sixteen lanes, outfitted with leather couches and HD projection screens, stretch out inside the former iron works building, complemented with a 600-person capacity music venue, a restaurant and a cocktail lounge. The food goes way beyond normal bowling alley fare, courtesy of the Bromberg brothers’ Blue Ribbon restaurant group, which provides a menu that includes everything from fried chicken to a half-rack of ribs. Details like exposed brick walls, repurposed glass from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Coney Island-style bric-a-brac give the otherwise slick establishment the requisite dose of vintage style that Williamsburg demands.
