Pretty outside shopping mall in Los Angeles.
I'm not much for shopping while on vacation, it takes time and funds away from eating, but a stroll around The Grove is sort of par for the LA tourist course. I didn't see any big celebrities, but I did see one of the Extra hosts surreptitiously sniffing under her arms before she went on camera, so that was exciting, I suppose. If you're actually going to shop, stop at the Taschen store, it's the best one.
A Small Town USA vibe with a Hollywood twist, this retail Mecca seems to see more high-end shops (and clients who can afford them) by the day.
Love it! – The Grove is a great outdoor mall. We love going there when my family is visiting us from Europe, especially around christmas time. The stores and streets are nicely decorated, the huge Christmas tree is gorgeous and the lights, Santa Claus and the snow just make the experience even better for young kids!
They have a great selection of stores (Banana Republic, Pottery Barn Kids, Apple Store, Crate and Barrel, Nordstrom, Sur La Table, Gap, Lucky Brand, Abercrombie & Fitch, Barneys CO-OP...) and restaurants we like to go to (Wood Ranch Grill, Maggiano's, Morels Bistro).
The trolley and fountain are also a big hit with my 4 year old son.
It does get crowded especially during the weekends but the parking garage is huge and tells you how many spots are left on each floor. With the Loyalty Reward Program you get complimentary valet parking for the day when you spend $250 during one visit.
Great bonus: it's right next to the popular LA Farmer's Market!
Holiday time @ The Grove is so much fun! – I just went to The Grove last weekend with my family. The holiday decorations are so festive & a great way to get into the holiday spirit. You have to go check out the huge Christmas Tree. It's also a lot of fun to explore The Farmer's Market. There are so many good treats there...it's hard to decide which place to try.
LOVE IT!!! – What more can you ask for! Movies, shopping, great dining and a place to relax!
WONDERFUL MALL – Beautiful and fun mall. Just don't go on the weekends-lots of people!
every time. – Ok so... this a must see if your in LA. I always bring my friends here when they visit from up north. It's bl*ws their minds. the shopping is ridiculous, the food is great. There is a farmers market around the corner and last time I was there I saw Tila Tequila
Nice and neat but Crowded – This place is so crowded and it's hard to get the parking, but overall I still love it. it's always clean. New restaurants are opening frequently. Staff is usually friendly.
Great hangout place for anyone – I love bringing out of town guest to The Grove to get a good sample of LA life. it's more than a mall. it's a spectacular hangout place where there is something for everyone!!
A Great Spot for ALL Occasions! – My parents especially my father make the Grove the Number 1 spot to visit after leaving the airport. It has a great and inviting environment for families, cultural enthusiasts, high-class and those aspiring to be so. With convenient parking ranging from self-parking to valet, from $1 and up, you can simply walk around the outside mall, lay on the grass, listen to live jazz, watch the water show, enjoy fine dining outside, on the balcony, or inside the intimate, and warm vibe of the restaurants. Whether alone or with a group, you can always enjoy shopping, chilaxing in the Bookstore, or enjoying a movie at the theater. Great place to meet any mood, any need, and fulfill you by the time you leave.
Shopping and dining amid a posh setting – Angelenos and out-of-towners flock to this popular venue for entertainment, dining, shopping and of course people watching. I was mostly impressed by its stylish architecture and precious decor--it comes all in red, light brown and golden tones. Pleasant tunes create a background for extensive shopping and invite to luscious dining. A feast for the eyes is certainly for every female the topless male situated at the entrance of "Abercrombie and Fitch". I would highly recommend the Grove bookstore: "Barnes & Noble" . Summing up, to shop and dine at this venue is definitely not a bargain, but it convinces you with its fashionable style and trendy vibe.
Great for people watching and for shopping – The Grove (at the Farmer's Market) is probably my favorite mall in all of the Los Angeles area (keeping in mind that I'm a West Hollywood resident). An upscale feeling outdoor mall, this place rocks! It's got a huge movie theatre and all the stores you'd want. The parking can (and does) fill up, so arrive early or count on doing the parking deck dance for a while. Better yet, park at a meter in the neighboring streets if you plan to be in and out (not for the movie-goer).
