NO CHANGE HERE – My sister who's in town visiting, and I ducked into the cafe to cool down with a smoothie and to get off our feet from a day’s worth of shopping. After we sat down and ordered two smoothies for $4.00 each we soon realized that we had been had after we received our - (what seemed to be the equivalent of 6 oz of smoothie). Our immediate reaction was that we were on the ABC show "What would you do?" Well I found out what we would do after paying the bill and expecting our $1.36 change we received only a dollar. When we asked the waitress about the additional change, we were told in a very patronizing tone" We don't give out change." We were outraged and my sister asked to speak to the manager. The manager explained that they either round up or down to the nearest .50 cents when rendering change. So my question why didn't they round up to our favour and provide us with $1.50 cents change, not take our .36 cents. I was extremely disappointed in the smoothie not to mention the service. I will NEVER step foot in this cafe ever.

sorry sandwich and service. – Headed over to Atlantic Station last night to catch a flick, and the lady friend was in the mood for a pre-show sandwich. Skipped right past Doc Greens and went to Cafe Nineteen. We sat down, but after 5 minutes of being ignored we figured it would be tough to eat there and still get to the movie on time. My gal pal ordered a grilled cheese panini for us to split, which was billed as coming with Kettle Chips.

The "panini" was basically just a flour tortilla with cheddar cheese! I'm totally cool with the mircowave quesadilla, but just bill it as a microwave quesadilla, NOT a panini sandwich. When you expect to get a crunchy, cheesy sandwich and it arrives as a sad, floppy tortilla... it's a bit of a buzzkill. Also note, the "Kettle Chips" magically turned into a bag of plain Lays. So yeah, just add fuel to the fire why don't ya?

The rest of the place looked pretty cool, and they served dessert and booze. Which would have been great after the flick... had I had any inkling of wanting to return.

Movie Goers Delight! – Since we live in south Buckhead, we go to Atlantic Station for our film needs. Now we have a little cafe across the street from the movie theater. We usually drop in after the movie, for coffee, and a slice of a good variety of desserts. Depending on the movie, sometimes it's just a glass of wine, and an evaluation of the film we just saw. Interesting crowds. Especially during the Jewish Film Festival, when certain selections are shown at Atlantic Station. Just a little oasis for us film foodies!

A surprisingly French feeling for generic Atlantic Station. – In Short
Amidst the hubbub and traffic nightmare that is Atlantic Station, Cafe Nineteen may not be the ideal destination to get your caffeine fix, however, with such a tasteful atmosphere and neo-Parisian flare it can easily be worth the hassle. As close to a modern French cafe that you will find in Atlanta, the doily-covered tabletops, wicker patio seats and expertly crafted Illy espresso drinks take you to Rue Moufftard. However the LCD paneled menu board, vast indoor space and unfortunate view of a movie theatre keep you grounded in Atlantic Station. A pretty stout menu for a cafe, Nineteen offers omelets, sandwiches, and pizzas, and in the late-afternoon and evening the cafe pours alcohol to serve the movie-goers and late night revelers.
