The Triple Cream Brie is nothing short of small plate food porn. Oozing with Fig's Foster Chablis as the base, the Brie topped with figs is just plain sexy. The cinnamon toast points: the underlying tease.

Delicious food and wonderful service – I threw a friend her bachelorette party dinner here and it was great. The staff is helpful and patient. I had no problem making a reservation, changing the number of guests at the last minute, or getting seated before our entire party had arrived. Everything we ordered was delicious and the wine menu was very accomodating; They had wine from 35 dollar bottles to 300 dollar bottles. The ambiance is beautiful and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place for a party, or romantic dinner.

Citysearch Editorial Review – After a $30-million renovation, the 1939 art deco landmark known as Shangri-La has finally given visitors a glamorous restaurant overlooking the sea. Visually amped up with The Edison's Marc Smith’s streamlined modern design, the space looks across the street to Pacific Palisades Park with a broad ocean view. The space gleams with lacquered teak and fine crystal as chic locals and well-heeled guests lounge in buttery leather chairs. A younger crowd also gathers for cocktails around the luxe poolside nooks and cabanas (where dinner is also served for hotel guests and visitors alike.) Chef Dakota Weiss presents sophisticated market-driven cuisine--the Santa Monica Farmers Market is literally next to the hotel--creating contemporary American dishes such as hamachi with watermelon, avocado and jalapeno pistou, market oysters with black peppercorn vodka cocktail sauce, chicken paillard, risotto with heirloom corn and Santa Barbara uni, and parmesan-crusted lamb loin with ratatouille.
