Reviews for Macbar

It's crazy that New York has two restaurants that serve nothing but macaroni and cheese, but we do, and this is the better of the two. It's trendy atmosphere is somewhat offputting, though.

soo much mac goodness!! – if you like mac and cheese even a little bit, and really, who doesn't? this destination is a must try. I was skeptical to try all the done up flavors, as I am a pretty simple, plain mac and cheese does it for me.. but my mind changed when I saw someone else eating the margarita pizza one.. It did not disappoint. In fact, it was nothing short of delish; better than s'mac, better than cafeteria.. i will def go back and try some of the others..

Citysearch Editorial Review – Buoyed by the success of Delicatessen, with its combination of scenester cool and international comfort food, the owners opened tiny Macbar next door. As you might have guessed, the focus here is on the ultimate comfort food: mac 'n' cheese. The classic features elbow macaroni smothered in American and cheddar cheeses, while the Mayan chipotle version includes spicy chicken, Chihuahua cheese and green onions. The mac reuben--with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, corned beef and rye bread crumbs--nods to the nearby Lower East Side. Just in case the mac 'n' cheese theme wasn’t obvious enough, the tiny, sleek space is decked out in a yellow and brown color scheme.
