YUM! – Best chocolate you've ever tasted! You can tell this is high quality stuff!
Chocolate, more Chocolate and Possible Celebrity Sightings – We had my birthday party here... I will say that the place is WAY too dark inside, and the service was MEH. They are lucky that their desserts rock. We had a pretty long wait for drinks to come out. We just got appetizers (flatbread pizza = NOMNOMNOM) because we heard the desserts were huge. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Crepes = NOMNOMOMFGNOMNOM.... And M. Night Shyamalan and his family were sitting next to our table which was unexpected.
NOM NOM NOM! – I've walked past this place numerous times over the past year and always said I wanted to try it! Well I finally did and it was a little bit of amazing! My husband took me there for my birthday and we had the best time!
It's romantically candle-lit, love songs in the background and plenty of CHOCOLATE!!!
We started off with cocktails of the non chocolate variety as we didn't want to peak too soon. The cocktails were made with fresh fruit and tasted fantastic.
We ordered our main food, I had Max's Sunday Mood Pasta with chicken which was very tasty and my hubby had a Kobe burger which he described as "juicy" it also came with waffle fries covered in cocoa and chilli powder an unusual combo but it works! Although the appearance of the food is as I say "posh nosh" you do get your money's worth.
Sooooo we were stuffed after our food but did we find room for chocolate??? Hell Yeah!! There was so much to choose from, I wanted to try everything, the chocolate fondue with dipping strawberry's, cake and banana's or the chocolate cake with a gooey centre, the sugar waffle, chocolate pizza..... it was torture!
So in the end we decided to get The Fantastic Popsicle Chocolate Fondue to share, however fantastic it wasn't! it was god damn AMAZING!!! They had ran out of popsicles and instead gave us scoops of vanilla ice cream which was absolutley fine with us. So you dip your ice cream in the fondue, then into the crunchy wafer balls, then into the hazelnut crunchy bits and that's it! you're in HEAVEN!! that sequence was repeated another 10 times! the more we were eating this dessert the more we were getting a rush from the chocolate we were dipping like a pair of deranged umpa lumpa's!! the fondue goes hard ontop of the ice cream if you leave it long enough...... we were just like a couple of kids! at one point I even skipped all the dipping and put my spoon straight into the fondue and had a mouthful of chocolate! We were giggling and going nuts at this thing, I even smeared chocolate all over my lips and onto my cheek to make my husband laugh it really was a fun night!
The staff were friendly! They had to be to put up with our chocolate-high asses!
Cocoa cocktails, warm sipping drinks and desserts. – The Disney World of Chocolate takes patrons on a carousel ride of entrees, cocoa cocktails, warm sipping drinks and oh so much dessert. Chocoholics, beware: with a cornucopia of menus that spell out a mind-numbing selection of chocolate food, chocolate desserts, chocolate adult beverages and chocolate drinks (both hot and cold), not to mention non-chocolate “real” food in the breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch varieties, You will not be able to decide what to order. And perhaps that’s part of the fun, not unlike choosing which present under the Christmas tree to tear open first. While Mr. Bald Man aims to all at once provide a Rittenhouse-style respite for sweet-toothed adults and a brown-and-pink fantasyland for suburban kids hosting birthday parties, the result is a corporate-feeling holiday that overwhelms revelers with too much sugar, alcohol and late nights spent running around past bedtime. Point is, with its emphasis on the quantity of its offerings (not to mention its fascination with its own novelty) versus any attempt to explain nuance or quality, this is a playground for the chocolate lover, not the chocolate connoisseur.
