Don't waste your time!! GM is a jerk – I have always had a great time at Cuvee, not anymore. I met the GM this weekend and he was the biggest a$$. Even his staff were talking about how lousy he is and that he treats his staff and customers really poorly.

I typically do not write posts, but I had such a ridiculous experience with this guy that I had to write. I spend thousands of dollars on bottle service and he was a jerk?? I do not get it.

I also agree with the other posts. I was with 3 of my girlfriends (yes, successful girls DO have money to spend) and he would not let 2 guys come up to our table?? We had two bottles of alcohol!

I'm over this place....it's a shame because I actually liked the bottle service guy.

Stay AWAY from CUVEE – Let me just start this out by saying this... I have lived in Chicago all my life, have pranced around to all the hot spots, worked in the industry during my college years so YES i know the ropes/connections/deals when it comes to Chicago nightlife.

Having said that, I want to warn you to steer clear of Cuvee!!! Not only are the power tripping bouncers at the door a complete joke who all have attitudes like they are all a bunch of hot shots who work for the White house, but I have been there a handful of times (only because Ive had friends who decided to have their Bday parties there) and not once has it been fun. (doorguys are too big of cowards to even make eye contact with anyone unless its one of their friends).

The door guys gave me and my girlfriends a hard time getting in because we had ONE guy with us, whom we were entertaining for the night (he happened to work for nbc, recruiting contestants for their new hit reality tv show). REALITY CHECK for the door staff: your job is not that cool, you work in the nightclub/service industry. You are there to service US, the people who spend Thousands on bottle service there, only to be surrounded by a bunch of miserable people bored and annoyed. You have your job because for now, customers spend enough money to keep you employed, start learning to be a tad bit more courteous or that place will be yesterdays news sooner than later like any other club in Chicago.

Being a single female, it also is no fun to frequent a place with a girl to guy ratio of 5-1. Men, if you want to be surrounded with a bunch of uneducated, heavy made up, anorexic, borderline prostitutes (correction, there have been full blown prostitutes there), who have ZERO substance and care only about your money this is a good place to hang out at. Good luck getting in, it will be a huge process at the door and then not worth the hype once you get in.

I understand they are trying to keep up the swanky image, but to turn away a group of young well dressed females who not only legitimately SPEND their own money (which is rare in chicago) because they have ONE male with them is absurd. NOT to mention 2 of the 4 girls were head concierges at 2 of the big named hotels downtown. Coming from a concierge standpoint: after showing my card and still getting attitude, I will make sure to spread the word to the entire hotel industry to NOT ever send any of their VIP's, or guests to CUVEE.

I took the time to write this long review only because I could not believe how ridiculous this place was run. I honestly cant wait till this place dies out, gets sold and puts something better in its place. As far as trying to keep your "upscale, high society image" give it up, this is Chicago, not West Hollywood or NYC. Get over yourselves and get a reality check and as far as personal advice from a head concierge: "quit biting the hand that feeds you" sooner or later, you will realize that being a bouncer is cool if you can be personable and have fun, but you are all as miserable as the staff and crowd who stand around in that dungeon. I used to work in the industry and have many friends who still do, so nothing against it, but to act like you are the most powerful person in the world because you have control over a rope, is pathetic. Maybe try going to get an education and finding a legitimate job since you clearly cant handle this one.

The woman that wrote the review below me work for them – Not to waste mine or someone your time.

So to the point

1. Bouncer at the front entrance. He needs to learn how to let in less guys and more women. It's a sausage feast inside and letting 5 guys at a time and 1-2 women every 15 min isn't going to help your establishment.

2. Drinks are weak

3. Each bartender gives you their own price per drink

4. Music sucks.

5. Spend your money elsewhere.

Nightlife elite mingle and sip bubbly at this plush lounge. – It doesn't get any swankier than this see-and-be-seen late-night ultra-lounge in River North. The owners of Chicago club scene staple Enclave are behind this spot where the luxe factor is through the roof. Beautiful female servers sporting skimpy outfits deliver sparkling wines and Champagne cocktails like the Passion Rouge, a fizzy delight that combines cachaca, strawberries and lemon with bubbly. A skilled DJ gets the place going, and the Champagne-fueled party lasts into the wee hours.
