Popular amongst GT students, Hankook Taqueria offers delicious, affordable tacos filled with an abundance of Korean-style marinated meats. The calamari & spicy pork tacos are the best, as is the bulgogi nachos!

Karean Taco Fusion – I work in the area and have been driving by this place for the last couple of months. Today I decided to stop in for lunch. It was SOOOOO Delicious and very reasonably priced. I ordered 3 tacos; One beef, one chicken, and one pulled pork. All 3 were very tasty but in my opinion the beef was the best. It was kind of like a Mongolian beef with greens and cheese in a soft shell. I think I have found a new favorite in an area that has tons of great restaurants. I will definitely be back on a regular basis from now on.

The LA trend of Korean tacos finds a home in Atlanta. – In Short
Lodged in an overwhelmingly industrial part of the upper Westside, Hankook is not going to win you over with atmospheric first impressions. The order-then-sit system, bright florescent lights and hard-back booths feel more old-school school cafeteria than new-school culinary movement. But taking a page from LA’s Korean taco truck craze, the menu is fascinating. Signature tacos are flour tortillas stuffed with the likes of beef, pork or fish, topped with a Korean-Mexican medley: lettuce, green onion, yellow onion, cabbage, cilantro and cheese, all goosed with sesame vinaigrette. While these bad boys of fusion dominate the menu, the burritos are actually the restaurant’s secret weapon. Stuffed with the usual taco-filling suspects, burritos get a heavy hand of kimchee-laden fried rice. Correct, a burrito with fried rice. It’s like hangover food from the gods. Hankook isn’t immediately crave-worthy but it’s curious enough to warrant a return visit.
