First Class All The Way

I am amazed at the fantastic single people I am meeting. I was nervous about the interview and almost didn't go. I am having so much fun. I am meeting people I never would have met on my own. It's like having my own social planner. More than that, they are really careful about accepting members. I can go to any event with the confidence that I am meeting sincere single people who want to meet others in a classy way.

Thanks to everyone at Events and Adventures. I really did not think my membership in a club would have the impact on the quality of my life that it has had.

Fantastic service, Very happy! – 4 years ago I was divorced after 14 years. Newly single at 36, I worked a cushy job traveling a lot but worked out of my home office when I was local. I went out with friends but it was always the same thing- movies, dinner or bar. I wanted to experience this new found freedom and make some good memories DOING something fun, but I knew I wanted to meet people too. I became a member and did lots of things I hadn't done in years, or things that I never would have done by myself- went on a ski trip to Jackson Hole, camped, snorkeled IN the GA Aquarium, hanglided, not to mention the more tame events like dinners, bowling, team trivia, concerts, braves games and falcons tailgating. I met some great people who are now very dear friends of mine. I even met a great guy while we were playing paintball. I saw him again a month later at Pine Mtn Safari. I renewed my membership because I was having the best time of my life doing interesting and different things. I even found a roommate through the group and had some job offers. My friends were even a little envious because I always had something interesting to talk about that I had just done or just signed up for. I am soooo glad I renewed! A few months later I ran into that great guy again- this time at a white water rafting /camping trip and we really hit it off. Long story short, we have now been married 2 years and have a beautiful 1 year old baby, in addition to his gorgeous 9 year old daughter. I owe it all to joining E&A. There is no way I would have ever met him any other way. I highly recommend it to everyone and its completely affordable when you look at what you are probably spending per week and what the membership breaks down to by comparison. Worth every single cent.

Pushy, Unprofessional Staff/Representatives – I moved to Atlanta almost a year ago. I came across E&A and thought it may be a good way to meet some people and make some friends in town. I should have known that E&A was a terrible idea when the sales rep wouldn't discuss with me the cost of joining over the phone. She insisted that I take time from my work day to drive all the way up to North Atlanta before I could find out how much the service cost.

Once I got to the office, the sales rep did a great job selling- in 45 minutes of cheerleading, she convinced me to fork over several thousands of dollars to have the "opportunity" for E&A to plan my activities. What a waste. If you are at all able to use google to look up the events in your town, you do not need this service.

What makes it more frustrating, is that E&A will not refund any amount of your money, no matter how dissatisfied you are with their customer service, their offerings, or the other E&A members. When I called the customer service to discuss canceling my membership and getting a refund- she told me that it was not an option, that I didn't give E&A enough of a chance, that I needed to give it more time because it was a "process" and required time to really see the membership benefits.

Our conversation got heated- because I felt duped into paying several thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing (which I know is my own fault)- but the rep raised her voice and yelled at me over the phone. She told me that if I felt duped by the sales rep, law provided me 3 whole days to cancel the transaction. It was confusing- on one hand she was telling me that I should give E&A more time, more time, more time... on the other she was saying, " if you didn't like the service, you had 3 days to cancel it."

I will never participate with this organization again. It is a waste of money- and a lot of it. The staff is unprofessional and have terrible customer service skills.

Review Events and Adventures Atlanta – Heard the advertisement on the radio for this singles club and decided to give them a call. I was curious but not yet convinced I wanted to join. After a while I had heard enough...what the hell, you go through life but once. Wow, I am so happy I went with my instincts rather than listen to these dummies with their bs reports of pushy sales people, etc. No one pushes me around and if they did and I could not say no that would be my problem. What I found is that despite the price this club is worth every penny. I admit it is a bit more than I expected so if you can't afford to join just don't do it.

For those of you, like me, who can pay the price of admission you will not be disappointed. They do everything they claim to do and more...

I am thrilled and have participated in a number of adventures I would never have imagined myself doing. And, I certainly would not have gone so far as to jump from an airplane without some encouragement from my new circle of friends. Admittedly, I was terrified and felt I might faint but I did it anyway since I was strapped to another I really had no choice...or did I? Honestly, I always wanted to try skydiving above and beyond all else. It was absolutely the rush people suggest it is. I loved it.

Another event I attended was to Agatha's mystery theater. It was marvelous. Now, I have about 7 months left on my contract and would love to meet others just like me who have alot of life left in them. I am 36 years old and there are members both younger and older so come join us!

Events and Adventures in Atlanta – I called about this group after hearing about it on the radio. Sounded fun and something different to do in order meet people of the opposite sex.

I spoke to a rep who gave a cheerleader overview of a great, exclusive social singles membership organzation. She could answer very few questions -- it was clear that she was just setting the bait.

I went ahead and made an appointment during my lunch hour. I got several "reminder" calls up to the meeting date. The rep on the phone failed to mention that the meeting lasts between 60 - 90 minutes. This information was also not in the detailed email sent in preparation for the meeting. However, the email was clear regarding "your time is valuable and so is ours" type of thing--encouraging you to actually show up or at least reschedule your appointment.

After arriving and waiting 15 minutes, the Receptionist informed me that the person I needed to speak to would not be available for an additional 30 minutes. What happened to your time/our time is valuable??? I certainly did not receive a call in advance indicating that the person was running behind schedule. Apparently, it is just their time that is important.

I kindly told the Receptionist that I would not wait and would not return as their service thus far was unprofessional -- I could only imagine what an "event" would be like based on my initial experiences.

I called the corporate office to share the feedback...once again, the service was poor. Held on the phone for 10 minutes with no status update. Hung up, then, called back and left a message for the manager. Would you be surprised to know that I didn't get a call back?

The concept seems to be a good idea but it is clear that the folks running the show need to improve their process. From what I understand, this "exclusive" club is expensive...if they coordinate activities with such unprofessionalism as describled, I really do not think my money (or yours) would be well spent here. I think I'll wait until this organization can get their act together!
