Decadent and creative pastries and baked yummies (candied lemon Danish!) and, most amazing of all, free self-serve refills on Stumptown coffee.
My absolute favorite breakfast sandwich in the city, the lovejoy deluxe! Fried egg, Bleu cheese, bacon, butter, tarragon and frisse on a freshly baked in-house roll that has the perfect amount of crunch on the outside and remains soft and oh so very tasty on the inside. Love this sandwich!
Great Oatmeal! – One of the best tasting Oatmeals in town! I have always had a great experience here.
Awesome Coffee, Breakfast Sandwiches, and Ambiance – Lovejoy is one of my favorite coffee shops anywhere in the world, let alone in my neighborhood. The Stumptown coffee is always super-fresh, the place is bright and lively, and their simply-made breakfast sandwiches using high-quality ingredients are absolutely amazing. As some of the other commenters have pointed out, the prices are on the high side, but not astronomical, and given the whole experience of the place they're quite reasonable in my opinion.
Out of Items – I have made a few attempts to try out the newest dinning spot in the Pearl, but they seem to be out of the items I order. Twice I have visited and they were out of turkey! What great deli runs out of turkey especially when you can walk down the street and buy 10lbs of it?! They need to step it up.
Best Bakery in Town!!! – This new Bakery Iin the Pearl District ROCKS! The Bakers and staff are very friendly, they produce the most amazing everything! Chocolate croissaints, breakfast sandwiches, soups, fresh bread. Everything I have had has been TOP NOTCH!
Citysearch Editorial Review – Just down the boardwalk from Jamison Square Park, this bustling bakery attempts to achieve what other short-lived ventures couldn’t in this corner spot: draw a crowd. And with its modern blond wood decor, shelves of preserves and chalkboard walls, it already boasts a homey vibe that former eateries failed to create. A rack of rustic artisan breads, plus a tempting pastry case filled with chocolate croissants and lemon currant scones and a short menu of salads, soups and sandwiches tempt everyone from loft owners to coupled retirees popping in to check out the goods.
