Fresh Authentic Sushi with a Hollywood Twist – Don't walk or sleep on Sushi Kingz! Beautiful contemporary decore..super hip hollywood scene.. reasonably priced rolls...
I went with some friends after hitting Hollywood around 3ish .. Walked in to a nice size crowd of people all rocking out to some hot track banging form the speakers. We were seated and order some of the best tasting rolls ( I had an Alice in Wonderland.. Loved it!) i've had in a while especially at 3am!
After we were done we found out there was also a downstairs recording studio as well..! It was like something out of a movie! We had a great night!
THE BEST SUSHI IN HOLLYWOOD!!!! – I have to give it to Sushi Kingz, you did it again! Open 24hrs along with great sushi!? It really cant get any better tha this, but my favorite thing about sushi kingz is that they're urban with the music so I'm gone have to say 5STARS playa!
THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME....HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT – ive eatn everywhere ...BUT THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THE MOST AUTHENTIC SUSHI SPOTS IVE EVER SEEN...SUSHI KINGZ U ROCK....the food was delicous and very different...the rolls wereoven baked and the service was good...its like eating an an art gallery...im an artist as well and was able to see there multi million dollar studio located at the resatuarant and best part there open 24 hrz........I FOUND MY NEW SUSHI SPOT...ILL B FOR SURE BACK..
HORRIBLE!!! – This is most disgusting sushi place I have ever been to. We went there for lunch and we simply had to walk out after ordering 1st dish. (It came slow, but we were the only 2 people in the restaurant, and it wasn't fresh at all) The place itself is dirty and kinda clogged up with bunch a different stuff that doesn't even go together... I don't know who thinks about this place as an Artsy Place - I am sorry. I honestly can't even think of one positive thing about this place. :(
BEST SUSHI BAR FOR SUSHI & ART LOVERZ – This place is amaizing has the best sushi & salads I ever had. The decoration is beautiful they have this kingz chairs imported from indonesia !what a great idea! the fish is so fresh what I have to ask twice the saime roll"king cairos" so good......by the way ..they building a recording studio in the same restaurant so amaizing!!! the owner was so nice to us what he give us a tour to the complete restaurant & the studio.......so now we have a new spot to go every time.......................................... we love SUSHI KINGZ
Horrible service, what a mess of an establishment – Ok, I guess if you HAVE to have "sushi" at 4am, then this might be the place for you, IF you also happen to be drunk and BLIND! Their sushi is nothing worth mentioning, but that's not the worst part...we came at around 3am, there was only ONE waitress! One waitress that acted as a cleaning lady, cashier, hostess, and server!
I LOVE Everything about this Unique Sushi Joint. – Some of us thought this place was meant to be in NY or East Coast style. Very Chill and Very Personal. The staff took their time to explain the menu and pick out items specifically to our taste. My bf doesn't really like sushi and only took me and some friends there for my birthday because we've been hearing a lot of great things about this "underground" sushi spot.
While we were eating one of my favorite comedians from the Dave Chapel show came in ..(D) with a gorgeous actress named Tia I believe from Dick and Jane...soooo coool...we were there kinda late but within minutes after arriving the place was packed with HAPPY people and we were glad to have gotten the best seats when we did.....THAN I seen some music ppl led downstairs....we all were watching wondering what was going on....sooooo I finally asked our server...she not only answered my questions but also talked with us and took her time to tell us all about the place and what it has to offer......nosey me...=)
Anyway, below the sushi joint there is a private Million Dollar 24hr. recording studio....WOW!!! No wonder they were playing great music...which we found out is of all the Local Artist they support.
Our Food was AWESOME! Since we ordered a bunch of food we had a chance to try everything...except a few specialty roles. When we were just about done my bf was still hungry so our server suggested their specialty roll called King Cairos that's made for everyone, including sushi skeptics...He LOVED it!! We all had to try it so he ordered another...=)
Our Service was the BEST I have had in Hollywood in a LonG time...sooo personable..I really never write reviews but I had to register just to share my experience with everyone....this is our new Hang Out Spot! You HAVE TO TRY it!!
Love it! Love it! Love it!
Best sushi spot in hollywood no question!!!!!!!!!!!! – this place was so cool my boyfriend jumped online and gave a review for sushi kingz andi LOVED IT SO MUCH i had to jump back on and say the STAFF was so helpfull and nice ....very respectfull and polite...and was very involved in helping pick out what we wanted.... i had one of the BEST TIMES in hollywood since ive been out her a little less than a year at A SUSHI SPOT....but its true the MUSIC WAS AWESOME and THE FOOD WAS ALSO AMAZING...it was so cool this is my new hangout before and after everything i think there already tired of seeing me and my man every day....we travel so much that its great to have a GREAT SUSHI SPOT in hollywood so close and opened 24hours.....
Citysearch Editorial Review – At this 24-hour sushi spot, rolls come cheap by the breakfast, lunch and dinner variety. Guests literally dine like royalty in throne-like leather high-back chairs and glance at their reflections in grandiose gold mirrors. During mornings, Edison rolls stuffed with German ham, cream cheese and burdock root accompany all-American breakfast plates of ham, eggs, tomatoes, asparagus and hash browns. Seaweed salads and edamame are popular choices for mid-day appetizers, while General Tsao shrimp and spicy scallop rolls are gobbled up for lunch and dinner. Don't miss the restaurant's signature king rolls like the hefty C'est la Vie filled with shrimp tempura, eel and smoked salmon.
Cool Place, Not for Everybody – I was visiting LA with a friend. Found this late night sushi place on the internet. We were a little skeptical but there weren't many choices since it was after 10pm.
The place was not difficult to find, just try to catch the red lights from inside the restaurant (kind of like one of those exotic massage places in strip malls). Parking took a little work, can't imagine how it is during regular dinner hours.
A special ambiance hit us upon walking in. The decor, lighting, furniture altogther formed a really cool atmosphere unlike anything I've seen in a restaurant. I want to say it's almost like Goth but not so much that it'd make ordinary people uncomfortable. Seating arrangement was very interesting. It's hard to describe but we loved it. The place was small (seats maybe 15 on the inside) but comfortable. There're a couple of tables on the outside, too. Interestingly enough the pictures on citysearch do give a pretty good idea of the actual decor.
We were greeted by this cute waitress, Kimber, who was enthused and helpful. We decided to let her take charge and order for us. She did a great job recommending two rolls and we ordered a sashimi place. The rolls were amazing but the sashimi was a bit off. We ended up getting a rice bowlz (yes, with a "z") which also turned out to be good as well. The portion was pretty standard for Japanese cuisine so don't expect to get really full on one dish. Overall it was a good meal. The tab for two rolls, one sashimi plate, and a bowlz, and couple of cokes was about 46 dollars for two people. I'd say it's pretty cheap, especially in LA.
The place was almost empty when we arrived but people started coming in at around 11pm. It was a mixed crowd of cool looking young people.
It's definitely not your ordinary sushi bar and you probably wouldn't want to go with your parents. Great for dates (cool atmosphere and low budget) or a night out with friends. Will definitely come back when I visit LA again and will recommend to friends.
