Don't go. – I used to like it, but service started to get worse and the food went down hill. The last straw was serving me half frozen fish and chips, and it taking over 15 minutes to find my waitress (with the bartender's help, who odly couldn't help me) who once located "fixed" it by bringing me fish so overcooked that the breading was falling off and the fish dripping in oil. One bite informed me it was a bad decision, and I didn't request they try to fix it again. They billed me for the entire meal, and when i came down with food poisoning and tried to complain, they suggested that I not come back. Don't worry, I won't.

Citysearch Editorial Review – Nearly every square inch of this South Minneapolis Irish/British/Welsh bar is decked out in U.K. accoutrements: black-and-white photos; maps; flags; newspaper clippings; crests; and, of course, the requisite Guiness sign/mirror. The big, buttoned, vinyl booths are almost always full with happy hour crowds, gamers and Scotch lovers. And a rectangle bar in the center of it all houses regulars and newbies alike. That’s because what was once a Lake Street dive has been transformed into a themed destination watering hole/restaurant, offering up knitting nights, trivia nights, scotch tastings, jazz and Irish music, pub quizzes and more. The food on offer includes--what else?--British Isle-themed delicacies, like bangers and mash, fish and chips and Cornish pasty served in a flaky crust. And one can’t go wrong with a drink from the whiskey selection, either. Merlin’s serves up the largest single-malt stock in the Twin Cities.
