One of the most unique restaurants in Philly. Chicken gizzards, duck rice, anything seafood and the coconut tart dessert. And make sure you go with at least 4 people — the portions are huge and meant for sharing.
Portuguese food deserves infinitely more love than it gets in Philly. Happily, Koo Zee Doo keeps the flame lit with its authentic, gorgeous evocations of the glories of this great yet underrepresented cuisine. From octopus to chicken gizzards, it's all excellent here.
Citysearch Editorial Review – A Portuguese woman and her husband do BYOB in cozy Iberian style, serving grilled sardines and stewed rabbit in a fireplace-warmed two-room storefront in Northern Liberties. Worn brick, a front-and-center open kitchen and tables filling almost every inch of available floor space give this the feel of a rustic Old-World grandma’s kitchen, where preppy relatives with disposable income pile in by the hearth for a pleasantly loud and loving family dinner.
