Excellent specialized pretzels – My impression of pretzels are from street vendors and Auntie Anne's Pretzels. Overall, I am not too thrilled with the either overly dry and salty ones from the street or those overly buttery ones from Auntie Anne's.

Sigmund however, totally changed my mind. They have cinnamon pretzels, jalapeno cheddar cheese pretzels, sesame and more. Besides pretzels, they also offer great dippings.

I didn't get to try any of their sandwiches but I am sure I will be back soon!

Tasty but pricey – Tried the Cinnamon Raisin ($3.50) and it came with your choice of dipping sauce and I chose Nutella. It's a pretty good pretzel, warm or cold, with or without the dipping sauce. At $3.50 each, it won't be something I eat often. Once in awhile, yes, because it's delicious.

Citysearch Editorial Review – This pristine pretzel purveyor stands out among Alphabet City’s many niche eateries. Picnic-table-style dining encourages grazing over the pretzel display, with offerings that run the gamut from cinnamon raisin to Gruyere paprika to spicy seven chili. For something more substantial, try a pretzel sandwich, like the salmon and dill cream cheese or roasted turkey with Gouda and apple. They're a bit petite for the $7 price, but you’ll probably have room leftover for other treats like Mexican hot chocolate or Nutella-filled donuts. Exposed shelves bear a Warhol-like display of sugar and oats, while huge, blurred black and white photos line the walls under mod, sculpted light fixtures. All in all, it’s quirky pit-stop snacking at its finest.
