Citysearch Editorial Review – Chef-owner Rafik Bouzgarrou parted ways with his partners at Absinthe Wine Bar to open this East Village bistro in its place. The name is as French as you can get, and so are the Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec prints adorning the walls. The colorful pillows and tiles, however, speak to a Moroccan influence, which also appears on the menu, in dishes like the merguez grillee (with harissa, a spicy chili paste, and pita) and roasted chicken tagine. Never fear, however, the steak au poivre and steak frites will please French purists.
