The Best Sandwich Shop in LA – Without a doubt the best sandwich shop in LA! The Bobbie is spectacular. If you've never tried one it is an absolute must.
OMG The Greatest Sub I ever ate – OMG, Just ate Capriotti's on Wilshire across from Facabnable. Was told to get a cheese steak. From the first bite I was in heaven. This (no lie) was the best cheese steak I have ever eaten in my life. I have eaten like a hundred cheese steaks in my life and none compare to this. Get it with mushrooms, onions, and hot peppers. Just enough spice. The bread is fresh tasting and unbelievable. The guy behind the register said its made daily and the vegetables are brought in fresh daily. I believe them!! Going back tomorrow to try the Bobbie. The place says its world famous but having tried the Cheese steak dont know how they are going to be able to top it. I recommend everyone try this place. I guarantee you will become a believer!!
Citysearch Editorial Review – "Happy Thanksgiving!" is what anyone who orders the “Bobbie” at the Beverly Hills location of this famous national sandwich chain will be thinking to themselves when they bite into Capriotti’s hallmark menu item. Situated across the street from Neiman Marcus, this small black-and-white checked sandwich shop is full of friendly staffers doling out their famous turkey, cranberry, stuffing and mayo-riddled breadies for the masses. Neophytes beware: this turkey is served cold--not like the holiday bird and fixings you’re used to. There are other meaty items on the menu like the “SlawBeJo” with roast beef, Provolone and Russian dressing and the homemade meatball sandwich to hamburgers and sausage. There are also lighter options like the vegetarian cheese steak, eggplant parmesan and vegetarian turkey club.
Too Much Stuff! – Capriotti's was provided to the volunteers at KCRW for their winter pledge drive, so this is a review solely on the sandwiches and not the restaurant itself. My boyfriend and I had the "SlawBeJo" and we really wish we hadn't. The combination of roast beef, provolone cheese, but particularly, russian dressing, cole slaw and mayo, was just too much all at once. Maybe just the cole slaw would be good along with the cheese and meat, but everything rolled into one just makes for a big ol' mess. And I checked out their website and unfortunately most of their sandwiches have that combination.
