Citysearch Editorial Review – Big younger brother to the tiny specialty shop in the Lower Haight that sparked a citywide sausage revival, the second outpost of Rosamunde brings the same selection of meat tubes to the Mission, plus a solid selection of euro/mircobrews. Laid out like an indoor Zeitgeist, the room is wall-to-wall picnic tables, meaning all seating (minus a couple of benches and stools in the back) is communal, not that the keffiyeh-wrapped crowd of scruffy art majors minds. The sausage options are similar to the original’s—all the standard brats, plus duck, pheasant, Merguez, etc., though this location offers a special “Mission Street” version: beef wrapped in bacon, though there is a cheese plate available here. What made the first Rosamunde so popular was having one of the city’s best beer bars, Toronado, next door, but this location offers an impressive lineup of brews itself: about fifty (mostly) craft beers, from Allagash White to Delirium Tremens back down to PBR.
