Tom Colicchio's post Craftsteak restaurant is just as big, just as nice (big and well lit) and has the same great service as before, but cheaper, better, and more approachable food. Well, at least in the front lounge section. The main dining room is more ambitious. But both sides are very comfortable.

Pretty expensive but if you want good italian food, it is so worth it! Come with friends and family and make it a great experience like I did. Definitely try it if you are in the area.

So sad – Unfortunately I did not have great experience at this place. Staff is very cold and they only want to highlight that they are high end restaurant. That is not how you attract people. There are lots of other choices in NYC.

Don't want to try this place again!!! – I do not think people at this place know how to provide good custoer services. Foods are overly priced. So I do not recommend anyone to try this place.

Sadly Awful – As a huge fan of Tom Colicchio, I wanted so badly to enjoy this restaurant, but it was a huge disappointment. My husband and I went with another couple and arrived on time for our 9:30 reservation, but weren't seated for another hour. Generally restaurants of this stature do something for its customers as a gesture of appreciation for the wait, but we received nothing, not even an apology. Although the wait was a pain, I tried to maintain a positive attitude about the restuarant, but after the food arrived it really just went absolutely downhill for me. It was so extremely salty and not enjoyable in the least. Since our visit, I've heard from someone else that they had a very positive experience, so it is possible that we were there on an off night.

Citysearch Editorial Review РThe Great White Bald One, Tom Colicchio, strikes again with this buzzed-about restaurant nestled under the High Line. For the lunch-only Tap Room (his former Craftsteak space is split into two distinct spaces, each with separate menus), park yourself at the well-polished bar to admire the impressive number of craft brews; then pair one with a selection from the eclectic New American menu (think roast pork and creamy fontina on a plush slab of fresh-baked bread). If the menu in his high-ceilinged dining room is any indication (elegant sea urchin and crab fondues, torchon of foie gras and the like), Colicchio missed the ambitious world of fine dining. The atmosphere is a tad stuffy thanks to the space’s past life as a steakhouse, but the food itself more than compensates.

Different name same TERRIBLE service – upon waiting 20 minutes for a table in the front the hostess failed to mention that there were separate menus and we couldn't order from the main menu. we've been before and always trouble with the management. never do they bend for the customer. get overyourselves.
