Citysearch Editorial Review – There are certain traditionalists who forgo the latest foodie trends; Table 35 is the place for those traditionalists. At lunch and dinner, familiar items include smokey cheddar buffalo burgers, French dip sandwiches, grilled steaks and lamb osso buco. (The odd ethnic dish, like tofu and cashew curry, rounds out the menu.) The room itself is divided by a glittering partition, with red leather banquettes for the dining room on one side and a night-clubby bar area with flat-screen TVs on the other. During the day, you’ll find casually dressed women sharing hummus and garlic chicken skewers with their besties, while the dinner crowd is packed with west Seattle denizens doing shots and grooving to the loud, live music.
A bit of Belltown in West Seattle – Hidden in the myriad of bars and restaurants on California Ave, this restaurant adds a new level of class to a family neighborhood. Live jazz music is frequently offered in place of the typical elevator techno. Most seating allows for a comfortable booth option and, due to it's high ceilings, conversation volume can be kept at a comfortable level. The menu consists primarily of refined meat, fish, and poultry selections including lamb shank and salmon piccata. Most dishes run about $20 each. Lastly, this venue also makes for an excellent after work cocktail spot.
