Make sure you check out their 'Doughnut of the Day" like the richly decadent Bourbon Caramel Pecan or dial in to the daily flavor calendar which boasts over a dozen tempting choices. Either way you're going to leave Frost a lot happier than when you walked in.
their doughnuts are...doughnuts – A doughnut shop has a sort of novelty to it and you get in an easy-to-please mood. Once you get past the cuteness of it all you will find overpriced donuts. There is no such thing as a bad doughnut. They do have a good variety...if you get there early enough. The service is horrible as well, you would think that putting doughnuts into a box would be a job that would allow you some capacity for friendly customer service, but they seem annoyed. It is not worth the drive unless you live within 10 minutes, you can get doughnuts that are just as tasty in a grocery store.
The Best Smokey Bacon Maple Bar EVER!! – SMOKEY BACON MAPLE BAR, nuff said. Truly, this IS the reason to make the trek all the way to Mill Creek. Voodoo Doughnut’s (Portland) version of this culinary creation is not even in the ballpark. FROST's airy freshness of the dough and the creaminess of the maple topping alone make this doughnut special, but when you add bite size chunks of perfectly cooked smokey bacon deliciousness, well…let’s just say I contemplated never leaving this little doughnut shop.
Best doughnuts around! – I always look forward to going here. They have give wonderful service and have pretty doughnuts! They recently added a chocolately butterfinger doughnut.
Here are my thoughts on some doughnuts that i've tried:
bacon maple bar - i'm not a bacon fan, so this seemed a bit salty/strange to me. It is one of my husband's favorites though!
tropical storm (guava icing on vanillia w/coconut) - yummy!!
plain maple bar - really soft and yummy!
cherry bomb- moist cherry cake yummy!
salted caramel - didn't taste that caramelly and not much salt - still yummy!
southern red velvet - i'm not a huge red velvet lover - it had yummy frosting, but didn't care for the donut too much
i've also had some banana one that was pretty good
