Tina is amazing. I came in with what was the worst hair color and cut I think I have had in my life. And Tina took the time and energy to do a complete turn around on my hair. She knew exactly what to do to make it right. I actually left with the best hair color and cut I have ever had. I am writing this a few days after my appointment so you have got to know that I am still so pleased with her exceptional work. Thank you Tina!!

Think Twice – One of the worst experiences so far. Wife's Valentine Day gift. Massage and Wrap. Wife noted TMJ, Fibramylia (all painful) on the form for her second visit so massage went as follows; hard rub to jaw and ears...Wife said "it hurts",,,stopped for awhile and back to it again....now wife is upset... no reply . Woman tells wife "I used to work in Chiropractor's office" and began pulling her arms. Wife said "it hurts",,,no reply. Getting off the table, wife says, I hurt. That night, my wife begins to cry, I hurt she says (jaw and spine). She has to fly out the next AM since her God Father died. She called me to advise she has been in severe pain..that was almost a week to date. I have called for the owner (no reply), have sent multiple mails, no reply. It's clear to me that it's business is designed to make money only, If you have any aches and pains going in...forget this place. You'll have far more going out.

Friendly, professional, and Fun! – I have been going to Tara at Spa in the City for several months now. She does my lash extensions, and waxing services. She is not only excellent at what she does, but she is super friendly, professional, upbeat, always has a smile on her face. Not only that but Tara has NEVER been late for an appointment with me, and when you have the type of schedule I have, 5 minutes can make or break your day, so punctuality is a must! I can't say enough about Tara! I've also gone to Jamie for hair extensions, and spray tanning. Jamie is super sweet, and like Tara she is also professional, punctual, and excellent at what she does. Tennille the owner of the salon is a doll! Not only does she make you feel like you are a valued client, but she treats the employees with respect as well. As a business owner myself, it's always nice to see that professionalism and respect carry throughout each aspect of a company. Bottom line is I highly recommend Spa in the City!

Super chick and nice – Rachel is a great massage therapist. So sweet and professional and always had a warm smile. Her massage pressure was great. I like DEEP tissue and she has really strong hands. She made me feel comfortable and in charge of my massage. I also felt respected and nutured in her professional care. Defnitely worth your time and money. The Spa was /ery girly and nice. I didn't think such a nice and classy spa existed in this metropolitan area.

Reiki with Anicka – I had a couple of reiki session with Anicka and it was amazing! Just by scanning my body with her hands she decided to primarily work on my head which was what I needed calmed down the most. Afterward I felt relaxed and clear-minded. Shes also a delight to chat with and plays very calming music to set a prime atmosphere. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a relaxed mind and body. Something we all need in the crazy world of ours!

Best treatmant ever!-----REIKI – Reiki....................Is the most fantastic experience. I have had problems that I thought were overwelming, relationships, health and many other things. Anicka at Spa in the city has been able (through Reiki) empower me to look inward for answers. I am happier and am able to see things in a more realistic light. I control my feelings and mental outlooks now.

Why did I wait so long to find this ! The Spa and Anicka are fantastic!

Have you tried Reiki? – I just had the most amazing experience of my life. Like most people, I had no idea what Reiki was----but being adventurous----I made an appt with the new Reiki master, Anicka. This turned out to be one of my better decisions. During and long after my appt I felt amazing! Never and I do mean never have I felt so relaxed and totally in touch with myself. You have to try this----absolutely amazing and I have already booked my next appt-----GREAT EXPERIENCE

Tried Reiki massage for the first time......WOW – This is the first review I've ever done but was so inspired by my experience I felt the need to share. The Reiki Master at this spa, Anicka, is a godsend for all that ails you! I was referred by a friend and must say I did start this appt with a bit of disbelief but in 1/2 an hour I was converted into a believer! Anicka is very professional, she made me feel completely comfortable, answered my many questions with endless patience (no easy task). The actual treatment is an incredible experience that left me feeling so relaxed yet youthfully energized. I have already booked my next several appointments and encourage everyone else to do the same!

Should Be called Spa in the GHETTO! – For my birthday on January 27th, I treated myself to the Phyto-Marine body slimming treatment. A treat? Not-so-much...

There were several factors that I feel are simply unacceptable at a spa. I was advised that this body wrap would be different from the ace bandage wraps of the past; and the therapist did explain to me the details of the “wrapping” process itself. However, I was surprised and disheartened to realize later that the “treatment” actually entailed the rubbing of some exfoliation mixture and seaweed on my lower legs (skipping the knees), on parts of my thighs (barely skimming obvious problem areas, like the backs of the thighs), the outer part of my upper arms and my back from shoulders to the lower back, skipping the buttocks entirely, sticking a blanket to my body and placing the portable sauna over me.

In my opinion, slapping on a product does not in any way constitute a “toning cellulite reducing massage”. And I guess I’m supposed to assume that the infrared sauna was intended to serve as the “steam shower” mentioned in the description? Or perhaps the “steam shower” was being escorted to a bathroom to rinse off the residue of the “seaweed” mixture? I was left to find my own way back to the treatment room where I found the therapist cleaning the room and preparing for her next treatment. She did ask me how I felt as she left the room to allow me to get dressed. I was so surprised that this was the ending of my “treatment,” that I hardly knew what to say.

In addition, I was not welcomed upon my arrival; and I was not offered even a cup of water, at any time during my visit—especially unacceptable after being in the sauna. This treatment left my skin dried out and in need of moisturizing, which is surprising since I’ve never heard of being sent away from a spa in such a state. While I didn’t expect a miracle, I have had wonderful spa experiences (including body wraps) in the past, so I know at least generally what to expect. To add to the joy of the experience, I was not thanked for my business, for spending my hard-earned money or asked to return.

Then, t o add insult to injury, when I wrote the spa to tell them of my experience, I was told that since I hadn't had the treatment before, I didn't know what I was talking about. And since the therapist insisted that she did exfoliate my full body - "knees, thighs and butt included," I guess that means that I also don't have sense enough to know when someone is touching my butt or not. The manager had no comment about the so-called steam shower or that toning cellulite massage that were a part of the product description but not a part of the actual treatment session. To her credit, the manager did offer me a nail session to "make up” for my bad experience. But offering me a cheap substitute after telling me that I'm too stupid to know when I've been cheated makes up for nothing--and only ensures that I will never go to Spa in the City (or maybe it should be called Spa in the Ghetto) again. And I’m making sure that the word is definitely getting around.

If you want a relaxing, nurturing spa experience, this ain't it!

Eyelash Extensions – I gotta say, this was a spontaneous decision to get eyelash extensions. I loved that I could book this appointment online. It was later in the evening and I got an appointment for the next day. The location was easy to find and nicely tucked away - adding to the quiet, spa like atmosphere. Tennille worked away while I dozed off and on - answering my random questions but mostly I just listened to music while she worked. When I came to and looked in the mirror, I had these amazingly long lashes - all pointing in the right direction! After doing a little online research, I realized this is a big issue. I rebooked for my next appointment and am looking forward to enhancing my look, one eyelash at a time. Thank you Tennille!
