yummy fun – Piola is a an excellent Italian/pizza restaurant in Midtown. I usually get the gnocchi, but I also have enjoyed the pizza. The pizza is the classic Italian thin crust. I crave the cocktail strawberry caiprioska. It's my favorite drink of the moment. The chunks of strawberries and the sweetness make it such a refreshing delicious drink. Ladies Nights on Wednesday night are great affordable midweek option that I enjoy with my girl friends.

meh – i'm surprised to see all the positive reviews for this restaurant considering my experience there was sub par at best. our server forgot our orders and had to come back and ask for them again. we got our food relatively quickly, but then she disappeared off the face of the earth for a solid 30 minutes or more. another awkward server tried to help out by bringing us the bread we never got. it was so old and dried up that neither of us would dare attempt to eat it. our pasta dishes were entirely bland. i guess we should have gotten pizza?

on a somewhat positive note, i had a delicious strawberry caipiroska, but it was hard to drink due to the massive strawberry chunks... it could have been executed better.

This place is terrible – I was really hopeful that this would be good. Gave it a good shot. Went three times. Finally gave up. Gnocci, terrible, pizza, OK, calzone, tasteless and the salads...well that's where we have a problem. They were serving rotten greens...you know, the kind that's kind of slimy and clearly should be thrown out. It happened on two different occasions. This last time we complained to the waitress. She told the manager and came back and said that they were getting a new shipment on Saturday. Apparently that wasn't enough for the manager to go back and check out what was going on in the kitchen because the next dish had the same rotten greens on it. The manager did come over to talk to us but he didn't really hear what we had to say and seemed to be more interested in letting us know that we should come back at another time when they have fresh greens. How ridiculous. I really wanted this place to do well since it's close-by but I'm not going back. THEY SERVE ROTTEN FOOD!!!

Great Midtown eatery – Ive been to Piola many times and have always found their food to be great. The other reviews must have gone on a bad night. First of all, the manager is adorable and very accommodating. They have a wide variety of delicious pizza and pasta, great happy hour appetizer specials, great drink specials, fabulous and great looking bartenders and great servers. Considering the major lack of good, cheap food in midtown, where I live and spend most of my time, Id say Piola is much better than many other places on crescent or juniper or piedmont and tenth. Its laid back, affordable and always a good time.

WORK ACROSS THE STREET – Worst pizza ever !!!!! The picture from the website had me really excited , not. The pizza was COLD and had no flavor . They put two leaves on top that was supposed to be basil . Tasted like someone put it in the microwave. Kroger brand 98 cent pizza would've tasted better. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!! Guess you need to be drunk to enjoy it. I normally don't write reviews on , but this pizza tasted so bad I had to . BEST PIZZA PLACE IN ATLANTA is "VARASANO's PIZZA "across from Justin's

Piola. – Just ordered their Margherita pizza for the first time and I'm not impressed. The pizza was way too bland and cold. I could of done better by going to the freezer. Jus sayn...

Italy-based chain brings their thin, Euro pizzas to Midtown. – In Short
Sitting quietly next to bombastic Ra Sushi, Piola is a pizza chain from Italy that takes up a small-but-swooping space in the 1010 Peachtree building. With colorful lights and back-lit walls, it gives diners the distinct feeling of eating pizza in a European nightclub. But don’t let the froyo-like façade fool you, the pizza is super-crispy, cheesy and well … surprisingly good. It’s reminiscent of Osteria’s pizza, but with a more topping options. So put on your wrap-around shades and expect to eat with house music blaring. It’s weird, but makes sense in an IKEA way.
