International Camera sells refurbished electronics as new – Don't buy from this business with the large SONY sign out front in the mini mall accross from the Titanic attraction, they sell refurbished items and lie and tell you they sell new items. I bought an Acer Aspire One Happy 2 banana yellow mini laptop computer and was told it was new prior to purchasing it. After I bought it I tried to register the serial number at the Acer website and it came back as having no warranty and the registered owner was Revonate. I googled Revonate and they were the company that bought returned computers from Acer and refurbished them. That explains why the item came in a different Acer box than the original factory item and why there was no owners manual in the box.
When I first went into this business they had customers at the counter talking loudly about dissatisfaction with misrepresentation with something they bought and the business owner was telling them there was nothing he could do about it. I only bought the Acer banana yellow Happy 2 laptop computer from this business because it was sold out every where else and I thought I got lucky to find one. I learned a costly lesson in the process. Don't make the same mistake I did by buying from them
SCAMMERS – This place is ran by bad people who are only interested in making a sale at any cost. They will lie to you in order to sell you something that either does not work or is not what you wanted. They avoid dealing with consumer's issues and will not own up to their wrong doings.
They are in the touristy part of orlando where they know they are selling to people who live far away and wont be able to come into the store so easily.
DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAPS! THEY ARE BAD PEOPLE!
I bought a 240$ phone from their store because i was lead to believe that it would work for my carrier. I asked them this question several times and they said YES in so many ways trying to assure me it would work. It turns out it doesnt. I contacted my carrier and they said it would not work. I called the store and they were VERY rude, not helpfull at all. The "technician" said the phone i bought wouldnt work for my carrier and that they couldnt do anything....he simply just told me to change carriers... I have been trying to resolve this issue for over a week. Ive tried to speak to the manager but he will not call me back or answer the phone. They are scammers who are getting away with what they are doing, taking advantage of consumers.
I am in the process of suing them.
Bad people like that can't get away with taking advantage of other people...
avoid at all costs
DEcember 2009 - I was also ripped off,
Do not use these people they have been ripping off tourists since 2006
they are simply waiting to trap tourists with no knowledge of the area
they even sold me $20 sim cards for $65
again: avoid at all costs!!!
