It's Pie! – Since opening I've read mixed reviews about this place. I've always kept an eye on going there though because it has the word Pie in the name so it can't be that bad, right? Right! I took my dad there for an early dinner and was really pleased. I ordered the Savory Pie for my entree and my dad had the Yummy Club. The Savory Pie plate came with a side of fresh fruit and both were ok. I think the best part of the savory pie were the tomatoes in it and really should have had more to give it a consist taste throughout. If it wouldn't have been for the tomatoes it would have been a loss. My dad really loved the club and couldn't eat the entire sandwich. It was very large. It was accompanied with a cup of Chick and Sweet potato soup. The soup was very tasty. Of course I couldn't leave without trying the pie so we ordered the disappearing blueberry and Chocolate Peanut Butter pies. The disappearing blueberry was different than what I expected but very good. It reminded me more of a strawberry strudel than pie. Very sweet and topped with ice cream and whip cream and drizzled with strawberry sauce. The chocolate peanut butter pie was out of this world. Served very hot and topped with ice cream and chocolate drizzle.

The place is very clean and decorated nicely. It fits in nicely here in the Heights. The waitstaff was very helpful and friendly. I'm looking forward to visiting again for breakfast next time.

Worst PIE ever! – I paid good money for the worst pie ever in my life! It was a Cherry Crumb and was $14 and was chewy and hard to eat. I have never heard of a chewy pie in my life. I took it back and they were very nasty and said too bad. I will tell all my friends to avoid this PIE IN THE SKY.

Citysearch Editorial Review – After achieving pie-based fame and fortune with her diner in Conroe, owner Marlene Stubler opened her second Pie in the Sky location in the Heights. It’s a colorful, casual space with a strange set-up: diners are asked to write their orders on a pad of paper before the waiter takes it away, eliminating the opportunity to ask questions. The patty melt is gooey and greasy in all the right ways and the tuna salad sandwich is fresh, with a welcome touch of guacamole. Surprisingly, the pie is less satisfying, arriving at the table messy and deflated and in the case of the key lime, drizzled with neon candy syrup.
