DELICIOUSNESS – Ok, I just left the unemployment office with the news that my benefits this month would be short on purpose. Something about taking up all my allotted benefits, blah blah blah.

I was bummed. But then there was this taco stand, and they had FOUR DIFFERENT VEGAN TACOS . . . one with cactus, one with potato and soyrizo, one with soy meat and a veggie one. All delicious! So delicious. The guacamole is perfect, 100% avocado.

My boyfriend had a quesadilla or two. He only said one word . . . "good".

They have a few different beverages out of their cooler. A few tables outside in a parking lot- kind neat ambiance. It isn't a busy street so you aren't eating car fumes or shouting at your loved one.

Everyone was nice too!

Citysearch Editorial Review – Located on a tree-lined street in Old Pasadena, this retro filling station turned taco stand is a fun way to down a few tacos. Old-school gas pumps are perched out front while metal tables are shaded by cheery red umbrellas. The menu is small, but far from standard, with vegetarian tacos and a handful of unusual options. A buck and a half will get you a soft taco on a fresh, homemade tortilla with carne asada, chicken fajita, pork with pickled onions or the favorite barbacoa (shredded beef in chili sauce). Many of the tacos are topped with a perfect dollop of fresh guacamole. For just under six bones, you can get a plate of three crispy tacos filled with beef or potatoes in a tasty beef broth with lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Veggie lovers have interesting taco options like cactus and pico de gallo and a veggie-packed medley ($2 a pop). Just don't expect to fill up for a couple of bucks. The tacos are on the small side (order at least three if you're hungry), and the prices can creep up a bit for big appetites. Beyond the tacos, you'll find quesadillas, taquitos, chimichangas and Mexican bean soup made with sausage and bacon.
