Chef Billy Jalanugraha's Thai food at Wat Dong Moon Lek is simply outstanding. When you peek into the kitchen and see him cooking beside an elderly Thai woman and young Latinos, you know you're in for a great meal. My favorite dish is the Tom Kka Udon a variation of the popular coconut soup. The panang curry and the barbecue pork are also delicious. They don't mess around with the heat - spicy actually means really hot. The space is cool and hip, decorated with Chef Billy's pop art, which makes you forget you're in a strip mall.

Citysearch Editorial Review – Named for a famous temple in Thailand, this small, friendly mom-and-pop serves fresh variations of Thai classics. Located in a mini-mall, the restaurant outshines its ordinary surroundings. The interior is colorfully painted with chalk drawings of famous musicians (Bob Marley and Bono) and athletes (Kobe). Begin with a starter like the larb tod that combines fried chicken with lemongrass or the spunky papaya salad of shredded green papaya, chopped green beans and peanuts. A spicy beef salad comes with shallots and is dressed with a peppy lime dressing. If you’re not used to Thai-style heat, ask for dishes to be prepared mild or not spicy as many selections have some serious kick. Tom yum udon soup is a tasty dish that combines a rich chicken and lemongrass broth and thick Japanese udon noodles. The pad Thai stir fried noodles are a just-right combination of sweet thin noodles and crunchy bean sprouts. Curries are offered with chicken, pork, beef and tofu. There are also seven vegetarian entrees.
