If you love terrines, this is your place. The terrines are really interesting, as is their selection of charcuterie. Basically, don't come here if you don't love meat.
If you're a charcuterie connoisseur then you ABSOLUTELY have to check out the King Platter! It's a cured meat heaven!
Food is very thoughtful. The pork chop with the pork belly was my favorite there.
The interior trends to be very noisy. Recommend patio.
Fun Tapas and wine bar – Never again. Featuring a "get over yourself chef". I took my friend here on his bday. Sat in earshot of the pompous, overcompensated chef that spent the entire time we were seated screaming obscenities at his cooks. The chef treats his employees worse than most people treat their pets. Cancelled the rest of our order and left. No one wants to see this display. No one. Any effort put into the menu was lost on the atrocities of his interactions. Down right disgusting. I felt like giving this jack a piece of my mind when I realized I am paying for this experience and decided to leave instead. Never again.
Citysearch Editorial Review – Pubs have always been neighborhood affairs, a place for family and friends to eat, drink and be merry. With the arrival of Waterloo & City on an up-and-coming stretch of Washington Boulevard, the Westside finally has its own version of the British staple. More “gastrobistro” than traditional pub, the restaurant features modern British pub style, with patterned wallpaper, oversized wooden chairs and an exposed kitchen behind the lively bar; outside, there’s a patio adjacent to the large, valet-free parking lot (yes, in L.A.!). As for the food, the seasonal menu is influenced by the British heritage of chef Brendan Collins (formerly of Melisse, Anisette and Palihouse), but with French and Mediterranean touches, and filled with dishes like pork chop served with black pudding, green beans and apple sauce, and roast arctic char, lima fricassee, prawns and preserved lemon. Other standouts include the corn soup with parmesan ravioli and Fresno chili, and the selection of housemade and imported charcuterie, like the smoked salmon terrine, fried egg and sauce gribiche. The Sunday lunch menu goes traditional with shepherd’s pie, beer-battered fish and chips, and roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. There's also a selection of vegetarian dishes, which are marked with a “V” on the menu just like you’d find in a pub in England. The bar serves an inventive cocktail menu of “pubtails”--from the savory Piccadilly Martini, made with Russian Standard Vodka, pickle juice and tomolives, to the most British of drinks (besides tea, of course), the Pimm’s Cup with Pimm’s No.1, lemonade and cucumber--to round out any meal.
Disaster!! – How is this place even open still?? I was excited about this place opening since it seemed like such a great location! Huge parking lot, Lots of space...so much potential!
So my BF and I came on a saturday afternoon. It was a perfect sunny day and we sat out in thier really nice patio. It all went downhill after that....
1. we tried ordering 3 different beers and they didnt have any of the ones we ordered. We finally just asked him what DID they have.
2. Our appetizer was just awful. It was something styuffed with shrimp and omg it stank like fish! The shrimp was not at all fresh, just awful.
3. We tried ordering safe for our entree since our first two wrders were a disaster. So we ordered a Pizza...how can you seriously mess up a Pizza??? Yup they did. The brisket pizza was just tasteless. No flavor no nothing. Just very bland. Not satisfied at all.
I will most def not be coming here again!
