Excellent farmers market. Go early for free street parking and to avoid traffic. Pretty big too. There's also food vendors if you want to get a coffee and muffin for walking. Lots of samples of fruit.
Citysearch Editorial Review – It may not compare to the Hollywood Farmers Market when it comes to selection and sheer volume, but for hassle-free veggies and friendly vendors, this market quickly became a welcome addition to the neighborhood when it launched in 2009. Expect all the usual suspects, from fruit, vegetables, flowers and organic eggs to raw foods, Mediterranean favorites and artisan breads and pastries. Vegan-friendly finds include True Nature Organics handmade skincare items and vegan comfort food like eggplant parmesan, lasagna and chicken salad from Daniel’s Choice. Beyond the edibles, there’s the usual incense, jewelry and clothing, along with succulents and crafty ceramic coasters. You can even get a cacti in a MGD tallboy. If you haven’t filled up on samples, don’t miss the popular Gastrobus, which creates a special tapas-style brunch menu from foods purchased at that day’s market. You’ll also find gourmet tamales, crepes and quesadillas and Columbian food. There are a few small tables by the food stands (and ample curb space), plus musical entertainment provided by an acoustic duo.
