Love this Madrona wine bar. Fun pours by the glass and plenty of options to buy and take home, too. The kitchen cranks out some tasty snacks. Come on a sunny afternoon and sit out on the lovely deck.
Great for friends or a romantic evening. – This is in madrona, a neighborhood I don't get to a lot, but defintely worth a 2nd look. Apparently this wine bar is located above an actual winery. So cute inside with some great art at present and a small retail shop. The outside patio and the garden are the best though. This is the perfect place to snuggle up with SO over a glass or a bottle of wine. They also have some kind of wine growler thing which I have never heard of before if you prefer to take your wine to go. This would probably be a good place to stop off before or after if you are having a madrona night, there appears to be a variety of good sounding restaurants in this neighborhood. Staff are really friendly and is pretty large as far as wine bars go, I believe it can accomodate 70 people, so on a warm day there is plenty of seating. Its a good place to listen to some nice music and just relax.
Citysearch Editorial Review – This charming Madrona watering hole is everything a Seattle wine bar should be: well-curated retail shop, neighborhood happy hour hangout, quiet destination for a quick lunch with friends. Owners Soni Davé and Henri Schock have created the sort of unpretentious, welcoming space that they themselves like to visit. The café sits in what looks like an old house—a small selection of gift items in the foyer, bottles for sale in the living room, reclaimed wood tables and chairs scattered through the dining room and breakfast nook. This feeling of enjoying a drink at a friend’s home carries over to the menu, where each by-the-glass wine (available in tasting pours as well) is carefully selected, cocktails feature herbs from the garden, the resident cheesemonger puts together appropriate pairings, and local neighbors June and Hi-Spot contribute pickles and sauces for sandwiches and cheese plates. It’s more than a wine bar—it’s a one-stop shop for relaxing any time of day.
