Reviews for Cook Hall

Craft cocktails, thanks to their alcohol content and lack of glitter, have eclipsed all other crafts in greatness. Cook Hall, a new gastropub on Peachtee Road, encourages bar-goers to get in on the fun, allowing them to select their spirit of choice and play bartender with herbs grown in the Cook Hall garden, housemade vinegars and bitters. In addition to their DIY cocktail kits are libations by James Beard award-winning beverage director Belinda Chang there’s plenty of grub for the sharing. Soak up the sauce with charcuterie plates of top-notch cured meats and South Georgia’s Sweet Grass Dairy cheese or tasty pork belly sliders.

I love everything about this restaurant – I've eaten here a few times in the last year and I love this place. Everything from the atmosphere and design to the absolutely suberb meals and service. The menu is very original but not so much that the true southerner would not find something to like and everything that my husband and I have eaten here gets a Ummmm..... this is delcious!!!!!!!! The servers are knowledgeable and friendly, which in this day and age is a rarity. I think that they get a later crowd than we like to eat dinner because the times that we have been there it has not been near full seating but I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone who truly loves a great experience and fantastic artistically inspired meals.

Jean Georges' second NY transplant in the W Buckhead. – In Short
Curving teakwood walls and slim, low-riding white-buttoned booths make this small-yet-spacious restaurant feel like a fancy hotel eatery circa 1969 Hollywood. Its pretty design and sophisticated ambiance makes both businessmen from the ‘burbs and artists from Castleberry feel equally cool. While Jean Georges’ first Atlanta restaurant is all about Asian street food, his second venture’s menu is influenced less by a region and more by simple, fresh fare. Bubbly thin crust pizzas come topped with the likes of ahi tuna and wasabi cream, while skate (from the sting ray family) is delicately presented in a tea broth with pumpkin seeds over butternut squash. Popping accompaniment such as ginger and grapefruit make apps and entrees stay light on the pallet. While Buckhead has become the power corner of NY transplant dining, this jewel has a feel of a bright, fresh-conscious LA.
