I nearly got arrested because Southern States Nissan failed to tell me that there was an issue processing my registration.
I bought a Versa from Southern States Nissan and they were supposed to transfer my personalized plates to the Versa. I found out from the Raleigh police officer that detained me that my plates were not valid. It turns out that Southern States had an issue transferring the personalized plates so they ordered new plates for the car instead. When I asked the sales manager why no one from Nissan bother to tell me I was driving on illegal plates he told me, Southern States does a lot of registrations every month. They don't notify anyone if one does not get processed properly.
Service Center....ouch – Don't be misled by the Express Signs, the service area is no longer offering express service. Granted, I would prefer them take the time to do it right. However, when advised that the wait on an oil change is 2 hours I will be taking my business else where. Not to mention that Alison had a migraine and was not in a good mood nor did she exude friendly customer service. So sad to see this place not helping those who purchase cars from them.
Don't expect much from sales – I recently purchased 3 three new vehicles from Southern States Nissan within a 6 month period contacting the same salesman each time. I was satisfied with each purchase but then is came time to purchase a four vehicle. I started working with this same salesman as before and I had decided to take a look at another nissan lot that more of selection of Rouges. Come to find out, there was a rebate available from Nissan on the Rouge but I was told there were no rebates because the Rouges were a "hot" item right now. I called the salesman to tell him I was purchasing a vehicle with better options from Crossroads Nissan and asked if he could get that car for me at the same price. Needless to say he basically hung the phone on me and I continued my purchase with Crossroads. I never mentioned the rebate issue giving him the benefit of the doubt.
A week later I returned to Southern States to file paperwork on a GAP insurance refund and crossed paths with the salesman I was working with and I receive a cold evil glare from him and not one word spoken. I expected more than that considering I bought three cars from this guy in as a little as 6 months. I will never return to this dealership again and will not recommend it for anyone.
Happy customer – Things have definitely improved since the new management took over. There used to be no decent Nissan dealership in the area. I've been pretty happy with this location ever since they moved.
Will return – i took my '09 Murano LE in for a few minor repairs. Sylvester, service manager, was very courteous and upfront with prices for all service. I had just had the car serviced at jiffy lube and he found that the oil plug had been damaged and was leaking and the air filter box had not been reattached properly causing the car to be sluggish and noisy. This was done at no charge. I was pleased with the service and will return.
Service Mgr. very helpful: My daughter's 626 broke down recently. Not living in the Raleigh area I had no knowledge on who to use for the repair. Called the SouthernStates Service Mgr next day. He arranged for the tow, kept up good communication regarding the repairs and other P.M., he did not recommend some mtnce that had been suggested by another garage only a couple of weeks earlier. Work was done promptly. Good experience
Satisfied Customer – Good service and not pushy, I was satisfied with my car buying experience.
Outstanding – I had the absolute pleasure of working with a service advisor in the nissan dept. by the name of Colin Spark. Colin made my "bad" car situation very "good" for me. My car was brought to nissan from another dealership to have the transmission replaced. The only communication I had with the dealership that I purchased my car from is to tell me what was wrong. I contacted nissan and began to speak with Colin. Colin first of all put all my fears to rest by talking to me and answering ALL of my questions. He made arrangements with me to keep me posted every week by giving me his personal phone number and setting up a time to call me each week to keep me posted about the progerss of my car. My transmission had to be shipped from over seas and that took some time. I was without my car for 7 weeks, but in those 7 weeks Colin kept his word on updating me once a week, and even taking my calls whenever necessary. He even took the time to take a call from me when he was on his personal time.I received my car back on yesterday and even after I received it, Colin called me to make sure everthing was ok. Thank you Mr. Colin Spark for being such an outstanding service advisor! What yopu did for me made this single moms life a little better!!!
